Finally got round to watching the game back.
It really is weird how you can still feel nervous during the game when you already know our place in Houston is booked. My heart rate sped up every time Demetrius had the ball.
Loved the contributions from our rotational guys though. To come into the game and reverse its flow, nevermind be solid, was really encouraging. So great to see Theo come up big time too!

I still don't understand why Big Joel doesn't get a few more minutes than he does. Does he have stamina or injury issues? Because he'll go in in the first half and usually account well for himself, and then he won't come in again.
Like okay, I know he doesn't have a very good shot, but I swear he's a good look charm. When he does shoot, it'll carom off the rim or board right to another of our players for a tip-in, and if/when he fumbles a defensive board, it goes right to another one of our players. Plus he plays good defense without fouling.

I often wonder this myself. I guess since the rotation has been trimmed in the tournament and add in that Meeks has played better these past couple of games, between him, Johnson, Meeks and Hicks, there just aren't enough opportunities.
heres whats amazing. The make up of this team is partly due to roy missing on numerous recruits because of ncaa probs. roy claims himself that 7 recruits have point blank turned him down due to the ncaa cloud since 2011. But if we assume that several of them had come, what might that have done to the chemistry?

I would have loved for this to be true but it isn't. If you look again you'll see he is actually disagreeing with Steat and doubling down on his previous post to reinforce how he feels. None of this however, indicates he isn't still an idiot. Sorry for ruining it for you guys.

Dude.Guys I watched both of this weekend's game from a hospital room, as my wife went into labor just before tipoff on Friday night. Baby daughter #2 arrived at 2:31 a.m. on Saturday. So I'm celebrating that as well as a trip to the Final Four. Pretty good weekend so far.
That is awesome. Congratulations to you and your growing family. Hope your girls are okay celebrating their birthdays in the midst of March Madness every year!

learn to hate NC State as much as you hate Duke, if not more. It will sorta be hard for you to understand why since you're from England and not from the state of North Carolina, and since Carolina - Duke is the premiere college basketball rivalry.
I'll explain it like this though...... I was perusing an Arsenal forum a couple years ago and there was a thread on there titled "Who do you consider to be our biggest rival?" Obviously, those from London said it was Spurs and it wasn't debatable because they live, work, and play among Spurs fans daily. Fans who were from different countries, though, said they considered Manchester United to be the biggest rival because it was a competitive fixture and Man Utd is usually the best team in the league.
Kinda same thing with Duke / NC State. Duke is a very competitive rival in basketball ..... but Duke doesn't really have a ton of fans in the state of North Carolina. With NC State though, if you're from North Carolina or have family in North Carolina, you learn to hate State because they hate you. For me, my uncles went to State, my cousins went to State, my grandfather went to State. The UNC - NC State rivalry is literally families divided, marriages divided, etc. The Carolina - Duke rivalry is more of just a competitive on-the-field rivalry if that makes sense.
Or to put it in uber soccer terms, even though Duke is closer to UNC than NC State is, UNC-State is much more of a "derby" than UNC-Duke is.
ETA: and why you, even as a British UNC fan, should hate NC State is because they are obsessed with hating us. They hate us more than they like their own team (and that's not hyperbole). They devote their whole lives to hating us and wanting to see us fail. They would gladly lose every other game of the season if it meant beating us. They're lunatics.
With Duke, they hate us too, but it's not to the same obsessive degree. They'd gladly lose to us if it meant ultimately winning a championship, just as UNC fans would do with Duke or State. So yeah, there ya go.

OOTB is fickle in who they follow. Devotion runs short in this asylum. Once the new is gone and the shiny wears off, then they are done with ya. Unless you poast in a political thread. Then the lines are drawn in the sand. Besties in one thread and mortal enemy in another. I still like you though
