OOTB Carolina football discussion thread

We need to take blitz back. That was a good board before woad and co. ruined it
Woad, Archer, and Kool basically killed it by themselves.

And some other folks who participated there decided to just poast on the premium board. The steady and great activity on the premium board also hurts Blitz.

The steady and great activity on the premium board

Where is that by the way? I head over there somewhat regularly and just see links to articles talking about the backstory of one of our players that I couldn't give a crap about. Or talking about some 3 star recruit that we just got* which is better, but still leaves something to be desired. People there seem pretty content with mediocrity (if we were able to get there) as well.

*I realize they're not fortune tellers, but I somewhat expected more of a predictive, and less reactionary recruiting info. Like I figured I'd know people were committing through there before it came out in a press release that they committed.

Check out any thread started by Dr. Know. They're all fascinating and highly informative.

Andrew Jones often knows about commitments before they become public. But, most recruits want the opportunity to announce it themselves (via Twitter, usually) so people like Andrew are asked to keep it under their hat. It's a weird dynamic for sure.

I prefer the old school journalism approach myself. AJ is pretty plugged in but runs this site more based on content and coverage. Even when he can break a story, he rarely does.

But I’ll say this (and I think @TarHeelNation11 would agree) he almost never gets it wrong and is pretty insightful on most stuff.

Reactions: Raising Heel
There’s zero chance I’m paying for a premium membership. Rivals isn’t nearly good enough at what they do to convince me otherwise. No offense to AJ or anyone else on the crew, it just doesn’t move the needle for me.

If they were smart they’d pay RH to move the weekly stats thread to the premium board.

I just read some threads on Blitz.

With other sports done for the year, I’m looking ahead to football season (that’s right, bitches, SuperFan #1 right here). Do you realize we play 5 of our 12 regular season games in the month of September? That’s crazy. Almost half of our season will be determined in a span of 27 days.

I’d like to think this team’s experience and depth (almost everywhere...except LBs...shut up @TarHeelNation11, I don’t wanna talk about it) will help us get off to a good start, even if talent catches up to us at some point in conference play. I have -0- confidence in that happening, though.

We gon find out this year if Fedora can actually coach or not.

The impending suspensions are probably going to muddy the water on that subject. I’m secretly hoping for a giant surprise or a colossal disaster so we don’t have to spend another year talking about his job security.

I disagree. The suspensions are on him, unlike the NCAA mess.
