It was abundantly obvious that there was an attempt to cheat. I don't think you can legislate the kind of cheating that was attempted into non-existence. You have to hope that the people in their respective office(s) adhere to the laws we already have in place that work just fine... if you follow the laws! Fortunately, they did that in the presidential election.

IOW, just a money grab. If true, that’s just downright dishonest. It would be akin to when the SC said the government can’t legally fine people for not purchasing insurance, so the Dems changed the word “fine” to “tax” in order to ram the ACA through. It’s playing semantics with our lives.

And the Dems have the gall to portray Pubs as insensitive to the plight of Veterans’ when in fact Pubs have long been much more supportive of our armed forces and veterans than the Democratic Party has been. More hypocrisy that Dems are known for.

The only clause I see in the bill which may offer funds beyond veterans is listed in Section 804 which could qualify funding for family members of veterans formally stationed at Camp Lejeune and its toxic drinking water.

Even if nothing at all happened, any good process is is always trying to improve. I mean, maybe not in the convenience store world but even businesses that are making more money than ever always seek to improve. If you're standing still, you're backing up.

So again, strengthening the election process is in no way a "response" to previous elections. It's simply the prudent thing to do.
