OOTB's Political Thread . ..

You should have watched the hearings. Apparently you have not watched any of them.
I haven't been watching them, no. I have seen a few clips. Cheney isn't likely going to be reelected- from what I hear. Even if she is a "real conservative Republican"- whatever that even is- she'll be doing it from her mansion and not in Washington.

Brad Raffensperger might be around for a little while, same as Brian Kemp. That Rusty Bowers guy seems to be anti-Trump. And, I did see that Judge Luttig's testimony. But, he's been vocal that he "is not political." But, it's not like a vast majority of Republicans are publicly denouncing him in the media, or anywhere else.

I'm not sure the GOP is able to wash-off the Trump stank. The handful that try and vilify him by joining with Democrats for a 3rd impeachment attempt, the stronger his support becomes and the more difficult it will be for the GOP to even hope to move beyond him. They let him in, they tacitly supported him throughout his administration, and he grew beyond their control. I think they're stuck with him.

Actually Rusty Bowers said despite the potential illegality of what Trump did he liked him as a president before all this and would vote for him again.

As for 'real republicans', the differentiator of the people testifying is guts. McConnell and much of the silent gop wants a knife in Trump's back but he doesn't have the balls or political will to say that publicly.

Several things have come out of the public investigation which have led fbi and other officials to take some new steps. Like feds searching J Clark's home for evidence. Fed subpoena for fake-electors from Mich, etc.

Maybe it was Eastman that he(Bowers) was talking about. It was something pretty serious because he was very animated in his testimony... something about "that has never happened in the history of this country."

A knife in his back? I don't know if that's true. Are you implying that they wish he would die, or be shot or something?

Klepper is always hilarious!

Down in Mississippi, they're waiting to see the King. Klepper shows them the footage of Barr and Ivanka saying that the "stolen election" is bullshit, and they all refuse to believe it. They're totally bought-in.

They are pretty out of touch and behind the times down there. I heard that when you fly into Mississippi the pilot comes on the intercom and instructs everybody to turn back their watches 20 years.

Kasich better watch out. When that former Missouri-governor, Eric Greitens, wins the US Senate election, JK might be on his RINO hunting list.

Remember when we had Rocketman where we wanted him? Those were the days.

Isn't it just like FOX News and our very own sissy-britches, poopslingerdick, to sound the alarm over lil' ol' North Korea. Screw Kim Jong-un and the malnourished mule he rode in on. I almost wish that stunted little bastard would lob a couple of nukes our way. It would be the perfect opportunity to show off to the world our most recent nuclear capabilities. We've come a long way over the past 77 years and it's been too long since the last time we cleaned house on this planet. And just in time for fireworks on the Fourth of July!!

Keep it up, Joe. You're doing a helluva job!

Sure it is, brownnose. Here, I’ll illustrate by using it in a sentence:
For Father’s Day, poopslinger’s kids gave him . . . both?!
that's a different sentence, moron, and it's constructed as an illiterate might. I'm sorry, as an illiterate DID.

^^ Refer to prlyles’ post above.

You are Exhibit A for why abortion needs to remain a legal option.
you, on the other hand, are exhibit A for the possibility that a fetus might have its head crushed during an abortion but still live.

Good choice for you, BTW, partnering with @prlyles. I imagine the two of you to be Siamese twins, joined at the vagina.

Da fuq... Now, you're openly wishing the US would launch nukes to "show off" it's strength. Basically doing the exact same thing as NK, only much worse. It's been too long since the USA cleaned house on this planet? We've been at war with someone most of the time since 1945.

I don’t consider it truly “cleaning house” until we drop some thermonuclear bombs on our enemies.

Of course, I’m only kidding, just being theatrical. Pardon my gallows humor. I just don’t fret when North Korea starts saber rattling. Kim Jong-un is not someone I take seriously, and I don’t think he is someone who should be coddled by our leaders or citizens. (Are you listening Donald Trump and Dennis
Rodman?!)

Your emotional disturbance is showing again. 3:30 am and with nothing better to do than write an embarrassing poast that truly was pointless and shows great ignorance. Ouch.

I promise, with some therapy, your sadness over daddy leaving could be soothed.

Ok, lil fella. We all now know of your emotional problems based on your rough home life and I have vowed to treat you delicately because of it. No longer will I call you a moron and I apologize for having done so in the past. There is worth to you even if your dad couldn't see it. I still urge you to seek therapy. I think talking out your issues with a professional will do you some good.

In the meantime, try to stay away from these topics here at the board and on TV as those kind of things prey upon those with emotional disturbances. And I'll say a prayer for you at dinner time this evening. God bless you.
I think you've misdiagnosed this guy @gunslingerdick. I'm thinking he had an uncle that touched him often in his special place and that's what has caused his problems. Hell, it could still be going on.

Yeah, maybe because daddy wasn’t around to protect him. It’s all coming together now. I feel worse by the day for being a part of the board repeatedly making fun of him. We need to remember that we often don’t know what some of us have gone through.

Pray for him @nctransplant.

You guys all seem to know what you’re talking about, as if you have some firsthand experience. Uncle transplant, Uncle poopslinger, and Uncle ‘92. Who would have ever thought we had so many proud pedophiles posting here?!

Political unrest resulted in 25 deaths - that's a drop in the bucket. The 2020 protests are hardly worth mentioning when looking at violent crime increases in 2020.
I kinda discarded gunslingers "defund the police" comment as bait. The phrase doesn't have a uniform definition you can't be a "party line" and you can't be implemented if something has so many different meanings. And the gop talking points on "defund the police" are misleading and exaggerated.
How exactly would you measure that number, 25? Hell, based upon the claims you make about J6, we'd have to include every fatal stroke and heart attack that occurred in the entire states of Minn and Wash.

Defund the police doesn't just refer to agencies who actually had their budgets cut. It's about the entire political movement and attack on police for doing their jobs. You are simply playing ostrich if you think they have not been forced to re-evaluate every single encounter they have through the lenses of race, prosecution, their careers, etc. This lack of enforcement and prosecution has an almost immediate impact on the criminal element. Even people who normally drive very reasonably began speeding excessively during the pandemic when word got around that you wouldn't get pulled over unless doing something else significant.

Gun deaths per capita is higher in red states.
You know that right?

States per capita, ROFL. Everyone is aware of your tactics of bait and switch my man. You pick a stat where Alaska is number one as support for your argument? That's good stuff right there.

You brought up inner city crime. I asked for a list together with their political party leadership. You divert to states trying to claim they are red. Alaska, number one on your per capita list, had a TOTAL of 180 deaths. They've already had 294 homicides in Chicago, let alone the rest of Illinois, and we aren't even halfway through the year. But you keep selling the bullet points (pun intended).

These types of interviews are always hilarious, on all issues from virtually all perspectives. Of course, we have no ability to see the unedited versions and how many people are actually "informed" in any given situation. Still, they are funny. But, all it does for me is strengthen the notion that it isn't necessarily a good thing to make a system where everyone is voting. "I'll have a hot dog and vote at that corner stand" for example. That doesn't mean they don't have the right to do so, but let it be a form of Darwinism at work and self-regulate. If the stupid and lazy don't vote, we probably don't get candidates they would be picking.

Is "per capita" okay with you in general when looking at things like crime and "crime rates"? If not, please explain?

New Orleans, Cincy, ATL, St Louis, and Baltimore all always near the top in per-capita gun deaths. You can look up their party leadership. Typically cities (urban places) are blue, but I don't know about all the big ones.

Since cities are typically blue, i figured states makes more sense, and obviously "per capita" would make sense if you're talking rates.

"You can look up their party leadership." I don't have to because I know the answer which is why you tried to divert. But by all means, please, look them up and lay out for us all the big, "red", crime riddled cities.

"I figured states makes more sense. . . ." Except when the topic is cities. Especially when one considers that the vast majority of crime takes place in large "cities (urban places) [that] are blue." But sure, let's talk about the per capita crime wave in Alaska and how it's impacting the rest of us.

If you know most large cities are blue, then why are you asking for a comparison or contrast that doesn't exist? "Show me all the land-locked states that have more shark attacks!"

And funny how you focus on Alaska and skip the rest of the top X on that list being red. Cities aren't something we can compare if cities are all blue, but states can be.

When Donald John Trump put Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court the very first thing I read was how they would overturn Row V Wade. I was very clear how silly this was to even mention.. more important stuff to deal with that a 50 year old law.

I was wrong. Sorry about that.
