I wasn't talking about EC, but apparently just a few hundred votes going the other way across 3 states would have flipped EC to Harris.
I kinda feel Americans deserve what's coming to them, for letting Trump win, but then I see it was less 50% asking for him, so kinda feel bad for the majority. But not really.
Harris got thumped, though. The Democrats are so inept. They have got to be the MOST inept. When you look at what Trump did after he lost in 2020, and the January 6th riot. It's inconceivable that Donald Trump could ever be on a ballot, much less elected president AGAIN! But, leave it to the Democrats to prove that it can be done! I'm not giving Republicans total immunity... they overwhelmingly nominated him. But, that's no surprise. That's expected. Their candidate gets convicted of a felony, they dig-in behind him. The Democrats have an incumbent that has a bad debate, and they tar-and-feather the bastard 3 months before the election and get the VP as their nominee. They throw trillions of dollars at her campaign, and they STILL lose.
I do agree with deserving what's coming. Trump proved in 2020 that when things get rough, he just pretends everything is okay and it will go away.

When you simply step back and truly see what Trump was running against, it shouldn't be inconceivable to anyone that even (fill in the blank___________) might get elected against her. This is an interesting question in light of Gaetz withdrawing. I've heard he is an option to replace Rubio in the Senate because Floridians apparently love the guy. Can you imagine the PIA he'll be to those that were raising the biggest stink if that happened?

My BIL and SIL live there. They have lost their freaking minds over all this. She has even served as the union rep for the middle school where she works. They've literally cancelled their normal Thanksgiving/Christmas get togethers for over half the family. I find it all very sad.

I get your point that some of this in terms of real margin of victory can be deceiving, but I see the conclusion differently. Thank God Americans are gonna get what's coming to them and not the much less desirable alternative that was presented. D's have gotten what they asked "for letting Trump win". @strummingram is right about the election in terms of the D's could have run almost anyone competent and likely have beaten Trump after all the crap that was dumped on him, whether it was deserved or not. If he was a threat to democracy and all the other catchy slogans used, the D's shit the bed by running Biden and then Harris. Why on earth would they not have put up a good candidate and sent Donald out to pasture forever? Instead. . . . . .

A few things creep through on front page email outlets (yahoo, etc.). But, once you click "not interested", the algorithms listen an respond.
And, this board leans so far right that of course I come across as left-leaning. The only "liberal" on here is @What Would Jesus Do? ... that's it. One guy that shows up rarely. Ask him how I was perceived on the HROT board. It sure as hell wasn't liberal. But, that board has probably 10 times more people. It was 50/50 there.
