Prepare yourselves

I thank them for leading us to the championship. I'll still be here in October ready for another season.
This!
After the amazing, gritty, spirited, thrilling, etc, etc title run I wouldn't be upset if they all declared for the draft!
Of course, it's got to be what's best for each player, their goals and their family.
With Tony and Joel, another 30+ season is possible, and another deep run to hope for.
Without them, another 05-06 style season would be terrific where we can see some new leaders come through.
I'm prepared for and happy with either.

If it happens, it happens. The won a championship. Berry has nothing else to prove. Bradley I think could use at least one more year to polish up his game and be showcased as the "man" with Meeks and Hicks leaving.

There is a lot of chatter on the ole intraweb. Joel reached his ultimate goal at UNC and if he wants to start his pro career God bless him and thank you for 3 awesome years. He left it all in the court and he will always be able to look up and see his name in the rafters. Bradley has way too much potential not to go 1st round. I think he would be a lotto pick next year but if he gets first round who could blame him.

I hate this time of the year with all the "chatter" about who stays / who goes. I wish I could get frozen for a month and when thawed go with the flow.

If JB comes back I will be thrilled and will drive down to Chapel Hill again to watch him (although I am 0-2 watching the Heels live). He just turned 22 and checked off his last goal in college ball.

Berry on the next space mission or something? Not sure where else he'd be going.

You know nothing. There is no chatter. Berry is coming back.

As for Bradley, he'll test and see what happens. Even he doesn't know what he's doing yet.

Now shut this nonsense thread down.

This was savage

You know this for a fact? I doubt it. Always "Gloom-Doom" from you.

Of course it isn't a fact. I don't consider kids realizing their dreams to be doom and gloom. From a selfish standpoint I would love to have both back along with JJ. The best part of being a Heels fan is watching the growth of the players under Dean, Gut and Roy. I can't wait to see Kenny, Seventh, Brandon and Luke prove once again that Roy is the best in the game at developing kids and building a TEAM.

Berry may want The Cousy Award-POY in the ACC another run who knows!

Would love to see how Tony can develop like all the Bigs before him, he has the chance to be top 5 in the coming drafts but NOT this one. Could cost himself millions by going to quick.

I honestly believe Tony would be good for 15 and 10 minimum next year. Hell he is a monster on the offensive glass already. 1st team ACC if he comes back, he just oozes potential. The problem is the teams at the back end of the draft dont get the chance at that kind of upside very often which is why I think he will get a 1st round guarantee from someone.

I attend and have attended a ton more Pro games live than most on this board I am sure , Bradley really needs to play 3 years to be a serious contributor at the Pro Level But I understand if he plays 2 and it is a Draft based on a future contribution ...

Yeah, agree with this. I think he'll wind up staying for 2 then developing during that rookie season in the NBA. The Tim Duncan style of contributing right away is a way of the past.

Hope you are right. A summer of strength and conditioning and he will be dominant.

If we didn't have this dumb rule Bradley wouldn't even be testing the waters. As is though I can't blame him. I said the first time I saw him he could be a one and done, it's just how watered down things have gotten.

For Bradley and Berry to not be coming back.
Posts like this remind me of Bobby Knight when he was talking about having your game face on.....how do we prepare for this...build bunkers, store food up, lose weight......basically what the hell does this even mean!!!! Another stupid thread that I am sorry that I even read!!!

Agreed... stupid thread started for no reason

I don't know anything but I'm expectig Berry not to be back. I think a lot of kids would be ready to move on (ready or not) after losing they way he did last year and winning it all this year. Lot of energy spent on that and maybe he wants a paycheck for the effort now regardless where it will be.

Whenever a team wins the national title, I expect all available candidates to leave. And I think usually, that ends up being the case.

But again, I know nothing. Hope he's back.

But one thing about Berry. I'm not going to be the one who tells him he isn't good enough to do this or that. He's a born competitor and he'll compete until he's successful IMO.

FYI... I said that about Aaron Craft too and I haven't heard anything about him since his college days. So shows how much I know.

I'm to busy celebrating to worry about much right now. :D

Berry-Bradley could leave, hope not, but I'll support both no matter what they decide. Have a feeling, Bradley's is a financial need, I understand that all to well. Berry has done what we all wanted, he could come back and set even more records, but that's up to him. He will get paid to play somewhere whenever he leaves.

2017 NCAA CHAMPION TAR HEELS!!!!!

If Berry would get drafted in this first round, he should absolutely 100% go and get his money. Since in reality he probably wouldn't be drafted at all, he should come back if he enjoys college. I'm not sure there much next year that would boost his draft stock either though, so if he's not a huge fan of sticking in college for another year, there's no real reason to come back either. Basically I think his draft stock is what it'll always be (undrafted) and it boils down to whether he enjoys college or not.

Tony is looking like an early second rounder. I think if he comes back and shines he can play his way into the lottery. In that case I think it would make more sense financially to come back. But again, if he doesn't really enjoy college, he can go and get a paycheck (albeit smaller) now.

I will be shocked if Joel and Tony are not both back for next season, both will and should test the water.

Tony's game just isn't ready, right now he is a rebound stick back guy. Physically needs to fill out and really needs to work on his scoring moves, especially mid range shooting.

With Joel, I think he can play at the next level but this is a guard heavy draft and it pushes him either very late 2nd round or out so why not do what Frank Mason did, come back as a leading candidate for NPOY and likely end up a 1st round pick in a less guard heavy draft.

Nothing to prepare for!

If the imbeciles at puke and Kentuck can handle an entirely new team every year despite ridiculously underachieving most of the time, I think I can handle replacing a few peeps that left me with the NATTY!

If everyone on the team and half of the JV left right now it would be October before I could muster even the slightest concern!

UNC = 7 Time National Champions! (Nuff said!)

Tim Duncan stayed in college for four years.
