Random / Weird News Stories

this is a great story. There's a fantastic sub-plot.

But back to the main storyline; if at first you don't succeed...
The pic of the beauty queen wasn't very big, but assuming my wife would let me for a little extra income, I wonder if they are taking applications?

lol me too, and then I might try to make it a sideline. I might even have Paladin-style business cards made like that old TV show...

but mine would read HAVE PENIS-WILL TYRAVEL.

You would probably need a simple contract that stipulates that 'success is not guaranteed' and that you're only committed to 'giving it your best shot'. Maybe cap the attempts with some reasonable fill-in-the-blank number like 100.

I'm sure you saw it but the best part of the story was that after so many failures, a medical test showed that the hired gun was actually sterile and his wife had to fess up that their two kids were not his. Ooops.

We're late for our flight! We can get there in time if we steal that backhoe.

too cynical. Why accuse him of theft? I think he was just borrowing the backhoe, and planned on returning it when he arrived back at the airport. How else was he going to go back to where he started? Once he explains that, I bet the charges will be dropped. But of course we won't hear about it because it isn't sensational enough.

This is more crazy than weird or random, but the flooding photos from China this week are eye-opening. Often flooding pics show one low intersection, or an underground mall or something, but this looks quite wet

yeah, I'd say that appears to be rather damp. Could just be the way the light is hitting it though.

This is messed up
I agree, but isn't it one of those things that seem inherently wrong but is potentially very helpful to society as a whole. If we could just figure out a way to detect and control everyone's actions we would have safety and serenity....wouldn't we? That's what we want, isn't it, central control over all of us in the pursuit of sameness for the purpose of decreasing any chance of unpleasantness?

I know….tell people there’s an invisible sky daddy watching our every move who gives us a list of bad things and if we do them he will make us suffer pain and misery for all eternity after we die.

Nawwwww no one will buy it

why do we need skydaddy when we have spygov to put the real fvcking on us. We can't help what skydaddy does but having spygov riding herd on us is a form of self-abuse. That's why we need to take the situation in hand (don't even go there) and put daddyorangeskyman back in the saddle.

BTW, I generally close the window to responses to my posts after around thirty days. I made an exception for you because it gave me an excellent opportunity to share more of my wisdom about orangeman, which I know you always appreciate.

So they recently built Clarksville tenn’s first round-a-bout and it’s going about as well as one might expect for a novel traffic pattern in a backwoods southern town. Somebody with their dot had the brilliant idea of live streaming “Rhonda roundabout” and it’s fuking hilarious. People going the wrong way, stopping dead in the road….but the best is the people seemingly trapped doing multiple laps before figuring out how to exit. In honor of them people are doing the “Rhonda roundabout 500” where they continuously circle it in decorated cars. The police aren’t amused. It even has its own song.
