I guess the difference I'm seeing between the two is that the Trump supporters seem more enthusiastic about their ignorance.

If you ask enough people enough stupid questions you can make a skit to claim pretty much anything. I could go to Harvard and ask the entire student body questions about politics, the economy, etc. And I'm sure at the end I'd have enough material to say "Seriously, some Harvard students are just... hilarious"

What questions were "stupid?" In the OP, especially... Where was the interviewer asking "stupid questions?" Seems like he was just going off of their stupid answers and assessments.
Fair enough - I didn't watch the videos so I'm not sure the quality of the questions. I guess I should have said if you ask enough questions to people you'll find some that make themselves sound stupid - regardless of what you're asking about.
These political comedy shows do a great job at proving that. The sad thing is this is where an increasing amount of people get their political info - and from which, derive their political opinion.

The interviews were not gotcha questions. And, what is more alarming is that the interviews all took place at Trump rallies. Now, I don't know if these people represent a majority of Trump voters or not. But, if they DO??? Then I'm concerned. These people are exhibiting views and attitudes that actually exceed ignorance. Sometimes they indicate real bigotry and hatred. It's a shame that these people feel emboldened by Trump. Or, maybe it's a shame that he emboldens and appeals to them. I'm not sure. Either way, it doesn't look promising in terms of a social harmony potential if he's elected.
Dang. I was reading several comments under the videos I watched after the one I posted above and most comments are from other countries and we really are a hated country and they think we are all stupid because of Trump and we are awful bullies who want to rule the world. I've heard people say others think we are that way but to read so much of it directly from them kind of stings a bit!

We also keep in mind that these shows go for comedy and ratings, so it's likely they come across a few that actually do know what they're talking about, or have some worth of intelligence and don't use that footage.
