As we have seen all year anybody can lose on any given night. The minions from Hades could lose to Cuse the way things have gone.

Up 20-13, then you look up, it's 32-22! ONLY coach in America with a "use it or lose it TO" that would not call it! Even NBA coaches would be calling them to settle a team of professionals down!
Ban me, I don'tc are! RW is barely an average "game coach!" Great guy, but is too damn stubborn about calling timeouts! No excuse!

Duke is definitely beatable. But they are the best team in college basketball also. Depends on if they play to their potential or not.

we couldn't make shots period .. the loss isn't on roy .. coach don't shoot the ball .. give some credit to the aggies they came to play and took advantage of missed opportunities and there bigs played well .. its just a game get away from the ledge !
As they went on a little run and we kept tossing more and more up. A TO to say hey guys it's okay take your time woulda helped maybe. I mean the shooting lost us the game. We been streaky all year but usually 1 or 2 of the 4 are on. Everyone was off today all at once.
This would be the textbook definition of a hot take.
Roy could have called 20 timeouts... Wasn't going to matter much today. Timeout wasn't going to allow us to grow 6 inches across the board.
If Duke wins it just adds to the mystique of our rivalry.

They still have Kansas and Villanova as potential opponents. Neither one will be easy. Villanova is the best team in this tournament, and I thought that even before the UVA / UMBC game.
Mostly because of their youth, Duke has had issues stringing together any great lengths of consistency all year. Probably the most talented team in the tourney, but they looked that way often during the regular season, but would then look like the freshmen they are the next game. But their road has gotten a lot easier
Syracuse could beat Duke. Boeheim can beat ShushefSkee. Boeheim was in the FF 2 years ago.

He doesn't call timeouts just because an opposing team goes on a run. To me, when coaches call them on those occasions, it's like a "white flag" and I never expect a timeout from UNC... ever. If you can't handle Roy Williams not calling timeouts, then just stop watching the team until he retires.

We sucked yesterday. Not one guy had any confidence in his shot. Roy had the same look on his face as I did , he kinda looked more like a spectator than a coach. No shooters , no one to drive and pull up for the midrange shots , big men soft as cotton candy. And A&M was just the opposite . Shit happens , somebody got to win and somebody got to lose. I really hate it but this squad was not going to win a title so now we can turn our attention to next yrs squad. And hope the freshmen can live up to the hype which in years past has been a no, no they can't but we will see.
With all due respect to our prior classes....these freshman coming in are much better than the last 3 classes.

It was a wrap from the jump. Aggies the kinda team we haven't handled all yer. But it was a great season and great career for our seniors JB and Pinson. I will always love those two guys for their heart and compassion. They put the team first and I just hope they get a shot at an NBA career or lucrative overseas contract.
I have learned, sometimes it just ain't your day and vs A&M it was their day, it wasn't ours, it wasn't meant to be and I am OK with that. No one hurts more than those kids and Joel & Theo hurt more than anyone and I honeslty believe we should be celebrating their time with us rather than being upset. Guys, we played with house money all season and we just ran it to the wrong match up on the wrong day, not the first and and will not be the last but until somone wins it all we are STILL the defending National Champions! .
Their run covered two TV timeouts. Sorry your scenario does not hold water. Unless Roy decided to do a crossword puzzle during those two breaks.

To say that this loss is 90% Roy Williams fault is asinine. Hopefully this is just the postgame hurt in you lashing out. If you don’t know better than to call Roy Williams an average coach anything you are not a true Fan of this program. Name one great “game” coach who you think can survive the shooting night we had from the outside coupled with the inability to get a shot off (much less make one) from inside without it getting swatted to the 3rd row.
I am not a Roy Williams apologist but know that our hall of fame coach is much more than “barely average” at all aspects of coaching basketball. The last game of the year stings for everyone, except one team per year but that is no excuse to cannibalize your own team and attack the very ingredient that makes your program great. I still remember the panic when DES retired AND the calm reassurance that Roy coming home brought. If 3 nattys doesn’t quench your thirst for “in-game coaching ability”, then shame on you!
