Fact is the consensus of the national media (at least the one's who have bothered to comment) is that the officiating was terrible. Check out Adam Schein's comments and I don't think he is exactly a UNC sympathizer. Is the petition silly? Yeah , but I remember dook wanting the ACC to overturn the Miami football game.
And I remember duke being ridiculed for that on here. As it should be.
so don't complain. anything that makes you feel better about yourself can't be all bad.

Couldn't disagree more. This is the most embarrassing thing you can ever remember? You can't be serious. I didn't think anybody needs to be reminded of our recent struggles with the NCAA here. And while everyone is entitled to their opinion, sharing it publicly makes it open season for ridicule and mockery by those who disagree with it. Share with your loved ones at home if you don't want your chops busted for it.

I'll edit my post then. Most embarrassing as far as something we should be proud of and enjoying. We should be proud of our Tar Heels for their accomplishments, not trying to cut each others throats. Better?
Also I never said anything about disliking a respectful argument over differing opinions. I actually really enjoy reading different perspectives from all the posters. However, when it gets to the point to where people are just constantly taking personal jabs at each other and not even arguing a logical point anymore, yes it becomes embarrassing to our fan base.
Donu think a petition to overturn the game over the officiating embarrasses the fan base?
That would at least make it understandable.
Regardless what I think about the petition, what does it matter? I can't do anything about it and frankly, unless someone on our message boards started it, there's nothing any of us can do about it. That being said, we can control our own actions here and not sit around here berating one another and trying to embarrass one another. As I mentioned before, we are all pulling for the same team. It's not like we are replying to dook or state fans attacking them. For all we know the ones arguing could have had a class together at the Hill or crossed paths during a beautiful Chapel Hill day. Like my father always told me, "control what you can control and let the rest work itself out."

give what a rest?...i never said the officials did a good job, i just said i don't blame officials for the loss...and i certainly disagree with anyone that believes the ncaa screwed carolina over...that's taking fandom to a different level, one that i thought carolina was above.

It was a guy who's grammar was pretty bad , probably not even a UNC fan. Probably did it to make UNC look bad , my suspicion...a pack fan. Most Moo and dook fans I have talked to think we got hosed on the officiating and they are just giddy about it. One even told me they rather see us get the officiating shaft than to lose in a well called game. They think we deserve it as payback for all the years that Dean got all the calls.
The only petition we should be signing is a petition to Rivals to give more emojis. These suck.
I do like this one. But yeah, there used to be more. You'd expect them to add to, not take away.

Archer at least expresses his point and his opinion and he does not go off on folks that are reasonable toward him. Yeah, that guy that has Archer's back, that would be me now ya want to boast about post counts and time on this site against me there boss?
And for the record, I don't give a darn how long someone has posted or how many times they have posted, I care only about what they say. I have NEVER asked anyone to respect me because of how long I have been here or how many posts I may have!
heelmanwilm, it is hard for me to tell if and when you joshing around and when you are serious, in this type of communication the default tends to be serious. Far to often, if you are not joshing it reads to me like you are wanting to come off as a jerk. Maybe my words frame me that way as well at times but I am geared to defend those that I respect and Archer is a guy I respect, I respect many, well actually most folks here. I am actually trying to be respectful in this instance as well but ya pushing my buttons when you act out against good people on this site. You do NOT have the right to tell folks what they can and can not believe, you do not have that power dude, express your own opinions respectfully even of you disagree with someone else, but the smart arse gig is wearing really thin...If you are actually joshing around then my apology is extended...
