Rory is a supreme douchebag. And it was easy to root against him. He’s always acted like he’s some historical figure in golf, which he’s not. And the way he popped off at the mouth regarding LIV pissed me off. I don’t like his bratty ass at all and I hope he never wins another tournament.

first season of “full swing” showed morikawa basically being advised what looked good and stylish…all he did was decline a certain color adidas gave him.
I think he regrets the LIV stuff, a lot. I get what he was trying to do by basically being the guy to stick up for the PGA Tour since he was at the time probably its most marketable asset but he took it to levels of hatred that were just weird.
I don't love him or hate him, he's just kinda Rory. I was rooting for him yesterday, he's too good to go 11 years without winning one and if we're talking about supreme douchbags then Bryson can stand toe to toe with Rory on that honor. I would have been happy to see Rose win as well, he's a good dude and has had a great career.
Like him or not, Rory has cemented a place amongst the all-time greats. Amazing list of who's missing from the career grand slam. I have to give him a complete pass on the LIV stuff. I think he got a ton of pressure from the PGA, sponsors, other golfers, etc. to become the de facto spokesman. And then, he and everyone else got blindsided with the merger stuff. I seem to remember a Masters (think it was) several years ago that he should have won and he choked miserably. Was pretty young. The way he handled himself in that post match interview made me a fan. So, I'm fine with him winning. Btw, Bryson has to be kicking himself. Just shoot in the 60's one more time and it was his.

when deChambeau first came on the scene, I couldn't stand the mimicking showboat. 'Look at me. look at me'.
Now he's completely tolerable, but I doubt I'll ever pull for him much, at least not as an individual playing only for himself.

I actually liked Bryson's hole in one over his house thing he did. He didn't come off as a huge tool and was kinda just having fun being insanely good at golf. Yesterday's post round presser was a shitty look on his part. Compare it with Rose's comments.
