Offense is going to be a problem. Don’t have a RB. I now understand why we are trying to sign 2 elite guys in the 2022 class.
Simmons, Green and Walston are not the answers. Like we did last year on defense, the offense needs to give the young, athletic guys a chance. Nesbitt, and our young WRs need to be given every chance available. The only WR who was able to get a little bit of separation was Downs and defenses are going to roll the safety to his side all season long, if he doesn’t get any help.
Defense is slightly better, but Asante is no Surratt. VT’s offense is average, at best, and better offenses will shred us. We are still 1-2 years away on that side of the ball.
Mack still panics at the end of the game with time management. Don’t know if Longo or Bateman can get into his ear or not, but we have 3 TOs after running the ball with less than a minute left in the game and we rush to the line and Sam throws a pick. Take a damn TO and get your $hit together before the most important series of the game!! So frustrating.
