Well, we knew Mack was going to win the press conference. That is what he does. And a big reason for him being on the stage today is to get all on the same page and being confident that things are moving in a positive direction. He did it before, both here and in Texas. And from a talent standpoint UNC was worse off the first go round. This may very well turn out to be just what the program needs. His press conference had that same comfortable feel as when Roy came back.

Wow what a difference in browns presence and fedora’s!! Holy crap if thats any indication of how they handle a recruit’s living room full of parents its no wonder the nfl is full of brown’s recruits and we’re looking at the 67th ranked class without a single 5 or 4 star recruit. I was fine with the hire before but now i’m damn excited.
We played so undisciplined and had so many injuries and suspensions (both a product of lack of discipline) i really have no clue what kind of talent we actually have. Even with all that We were literally 3 freak plays away from competing for the coastal crown. Maybe its the emotion getting best of me but i’m starting to believe that 7-8 wins is a real possibility.
We've got plenty of talent on offense. If he were to bring back Chizik we could easily get to a bowl I think. Remember Chizik already knows some of these guys and they were recruited to play in his system. An average defense could get us to 6 wins easily.
Well I stoped buying season tickets after Butch was fired...We had them in my family for 35 years..Went to a few road games as well...After watching this with Mack I will be buying season tickets again...
Mack's UNC teams were the antithesis of Fedora's in terms of discipline.
The right coaching staff with the exact players we have, the same suspensions and injuries, could have won the division with perhaps an 8-3 record.
With better coaching over all, starting with the HC demanding more discipline in play and featuring better strength and conditioning, we can win the Coastal in 2019. We do need a grad transfer DT and LB, to give us experienced depth in the front 7. And Mack is the type HC to get that done - he can sell it to quality players from the MAC or MW or CUSA or Sunbelt: take your 1 year to play for a Hall of Fame coach in a P5.
All I know the local Media is very upset and I love it...It’s the safe hire and the right hire...
Mack was always confident, now he comes across as confident and experienced, there is no doubt that he will get things back on track.
