Trump wants a Military Parade . .

What’s that “law” where internet fights/discussions end in someone being compared to Hitler/nazis?

Never fails...
Godwin's Law. Good call.

Let me make a simple observation.

1) People who think Trump is a genius who's trolling liberals are gullible fools.
2) People who get outraged by anything Trump says/tweets are also gullible fools.

Remember the freakout about North Korea? Some people were all on Trump's dick saying it was about time somebody stood up to them. Other people were all freaking out thinking the end of the world was near. In the meantime, North Korea has continued conducting missile launches and here we are today with the U.S. continuing to tighten sanctions that will ultimately be undermined by China and Russia. Absolutely nothing has changed. Trump didn't accomplish jack squat.

Trump is nothing but bluster. Although @nctransplant and I don't agree politically, he's got the right perspective to dislike Twitter Trump and like Policy Trump. To this point, Trump has done almost exactly what any other conservative president would have done in his place. Stop getting distracted by all the noise. I read these political threads and just SMH at most of you. Sorry not sorry.

Strum, very few men change their hair style, very few. I'm going with the same style I changed to when the Beatles came out....lol
Must be the musician thing in me... or too much estrogen. I disagree with the "very few" thing. My step-father is 83. He would be someone who hasn't changed his hairstyle (except that he has less hair). But, maybe we're finding common ground that REALLY OLD men are more likely to still be sporting their crew-cuts from Floyd's Barber Shop?

Like Hank Hill... "You want the Roger Staubach at the Naval Academy, or Dallas Cowboys?" And, they're identical.

Well, that's an absurd comparison.

Who cares how someone sizes you up? Especially when it's based on dumb thinking. And if you are the type of person who uses appearance to judge someone's personality, that says more about you than it does about the person you are judging.
At what point do you deem it appropriate to judge/measure a person?
So far we can’t do it based on their looks, choices, habits. When is the proper time to make inferences to who they are?

What about people who just think Trump is trolling liberals? I'm certainly not claiming he is a genius (other than a comedic one)

I judge people regularly on how they look, the choices they make and their habits. What the hell else would I have to go on?

That’s kind of my point. Hell, I judge you knuckleheads from your anonymous posts.

I think @tarheel0910 discounts the fact some people are really good at judging people’s characters with little to go on. If you’re in any type of sales or business development role, sizing up a person quickly is paramount to success. Those people tend to be higher on the EQ scale and trust their gut over data.

All true, but I have been trying to keep myself from judging whenever possible these days. It takes more energy than I need to spend.

I make a ton of inferences at all times. It’s just what I do and it’s been very critical in all of my limited success. To be clear, I don’t hold those judgements/observations in perpetuity. But I do consider them in my decision making process. Over time, I’ve gotten better and better at it.

That wasn't his original point. His original point was that since Trump hasn't changed his hair, he can't change as a person. He then moved the goal post to your appearance can make people have a certain perception of you. As someone who has been in a sales position, I can tell you that the absolute dumbest thing you can do as a salesperson is to judge people on their looks. I've had potential clients come in looking like they live under a bridge and ended up making a big sale. I've also had potential clients come in wearing expensive suits that didn't have a penny to their name.

ETA: There are some safe judgments that you can make. If you see a guy wearing a pair of Nike shoes, it's reasonable to think he likes those shoes. However, it would be dumb to think that he never wears sandals just because he is wearing shoes when you see him.

Aren't you a back office/numbers/compliance guy?

I heard this morning that the parade route has been announced:

It will step off at the U.S. Capitol, head west up Pennsylvania Ave. toward the White House, turn south and circle around the Lincoln Memorial, and finally double back and pass the District of Columbia Department of Corrections (DCDC) so Trump can watch from his window perch.

Instead of starting another political thread, I'm going to put this right here. It's an interesting article. There have been a few people on here that have said they think people will ignore how Trump acts because they like his policy. Obviously there is a lot of time left before the midterms and 2020, but this seems to support that theory.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/12/trump-isnt-more-popular-but-his-policies-are-commentary.html

There you have it..."It's the economy, stupid."
