Definitely not one of our better games, but we won and play for the title again.
Hope we can find a way to get Hicks and JB back in the groove.
All I can say is thank goodness for Theo! Kid hustled and did what we needed him to do.
JB is going to have his hands full Monday night, so he better rest and hope he can heal up enough to give us his best.
I love that the announcers (Barkley??) are already saying we have no chance Monday night.
Gonzaga is going to be tough, but we have played the best in the country and beat them. We have been here before and we have all the tools to win. We just have to execute and play our game and we will have redemption.

On our last 7 possessions we took terrible shots, 3 times Theo ended up with the ball to take the shot as clock wound down. All that being said, Up 7 with 42 seconds left and our head man sits on his thumbs and never calls a timeout as we looked out of it.

Britt never hurt us really and had a few great plays. Best bench contribution by a mile.

20 seconds to go and we have THEO running the point and driving to the hoop from midcourt. Jackson and JB were acting like the ball had herpes. Oh, and we had 3 timeouts. I just dont get it. But so thankful that we won!

Well, lets see. Seth Davis said we will lose, the Jet picks us, Barkley picks Gonzaga.
I guess we should just pack it in and go back to Chapel Hill, right? I mean, JB isn't healthy, Gonzaga has size to match ours and they have a "mission", so we might as well not even bother playing, right?
Sorry, but I think this team has shown they can play with anyone in the country, under any circumstances and with any number of guys stepping up when it counts. How about let's see if Gonzaga can run with us or that big Amish looking dude can hang with Meeks, Hicks and Bradley and if someone on Gonzaga can come close to shutting down Buckets.
I know I am biased, but I sure do like our chances in this game. Yes, they match up better with us than about anyone we have played, but they also have NEVER played anyone like us before either. They haven't gone against a team with a PG who has literally willed his way to another championship game and a couple of senior big men who aren't ready to go home without a ring.
And then there is Luke Maye and Nat Britt. who have shown more than once this year that they can step up when they are needed.
As bad as we have played in a LOT of games this year, we have found a way to win and I feel like we have a damn good shot at bringing home another title Monday night when so many are saying we just don't have it.
