What classic movie have you never seen?

Not seeing Animal House deserves ridicule.

Gotta watch the classic comedies. I can understand not watching the action movies and sci-fi crap though: Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Jaws, every super hero movie ever made (except Black Panther because it'd be racist not to watch that one), etc.

In other interesting movie trivia, the character actor Pat Hingle lived here in carolina beach for the last twenty or so yrs of his life. Met him a couple times and even shared a meal with him at a local burger joint. Super nice guy who loved to talk. It was very fascinating. He came here to film maximim overdrive which was shot literally a couple hundred yards from my house. One day he and emilio estevez had an afternoon off from shooting and they hired a taxi to go to the beach. The driver asked “do u want to go to the pretty beach (wrightsville) or the red neck beach (carolina beach)?” They said the red neck beach. He fell in love with it and stayed. He told me that he was supposed to play the lead in elmer gantry but fell ill (or was in a bad accident i dont remember exactly) and they had to go with charlton heston. It would be heston’s “break out” role.

I'm interested to know if there are actually any @heelz2345 has not seen.
Of the ones mentioned in this thread, Cotizen Kane is the only one I can confidently say I haven’t seen beginning to end. I’ve seen part of it, I need to sit down and watch it beginning to end, just haven’t made the time. I’ll look at the AFI list soon and see which I’ve seen

It looks like I've seen about 70 of the AFI movies, but I'm including the combined original list and the revised 10 years later list, so that's out of a pool of about 120.

I made it through about four superhero movies before I finally had to tap out. I'm just not a big fan, and even the ones I didn't hate don't hold up long-term.

Interesting story, but Burt Lancaster played Elmer Gantry.

I’ve seen 67 from the first AFI list, and 76 from the second list.

I will admit that I can rarely, if ever, get into old, black and white movies. I dunno why that is, but it just decreases my general interest. It's odd because, when I was a kid, I loved watching the old Li'l Rascals from the 30's.

I can watch Schindler's List, and I don't even notice the B&W. But, otherwise, it loses me.

There are quite a few "classics" that bored me to death. Sticking with the B&W thing, The Last Picture Show was boring as hell. Yeah, you get to see Cybill Shepherd's breastesses, but the story and acting bored me to death.

Same with The Deer Hunter. Aside from the Russian Roulette scene and escape? Boring as hell.

Yeah, I forced myself to watch some of the "classics" years ago, but some of them were just boring to me as well or didn't leave enough of an impression on me that I ever want to see them again, or just flat out sucked donkeys. I do like some of the old B&W film noir movies though, especially this one...

Do yourself a favor and watch Forest Gump. Tom Hanks is worth the trouble.

For the betterment of you and your family, watch Forrest Gump. It's #1 on my list of movies.

I'm not sure I would call those classics, Forest Gump maybe...
