Brought tears to my eyes. I'm proud of that young man and hope he can realize his dream of playing in the NFL. Regardless, he's still a winner and he knows it.
Life is 10% about what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. I've had 3 major knee surgeries, neck surgery, and lower back surgery, and I'm getting ready to undergo surgery for a ruptured disc in my lower back once again. But working in the medical industry, I see people who are dealing with much more on a daily basis. It keeps things in perspective for me.
The key is to realize how thankful you should be and keep on keepin' on. As PawPaw used to say, "Any day above grass is a good one". Amen to that.
