I don't think anyone is actually debating the pedophile issue, but sorry for all the bumps. Think I'm done here.Seven pages about trannies and a debate on whether or not pedophiles are really a bad thing.

What if someone identifies as a dog?...would he or she be allowed to piss on fire hydrants on street corners? I'm serious. Could he or she not claim that they identify as a dog and prohibiting them from pissing on fire hydrants, trees and the like is discriminating against how they see themselves? Or would they just say, "STFU, you're a person, act like it."
As long as they bring their pooper scooper it doesn't bother me.
Can someone explain to me why Charlotte started this shit storm?
“Everyone is required to use the bathroom of their gender – you can’t get more equal than that,” Driggs said. “It’s not the back of the bus.”

Understood. That information was incidental. The important part, which you chose to ignore, was this:"None perpetrated by transgenders ....."
GOOD LORD BRO .. I have said it 50 times in this thread alone. I don't care a bit about the true trannies, they are NOT THE ONES who worry folks like me.
Her assault didn't happen as the result of any transgender laws.
... none of their crimes were facilitated by transgender laws.
That last one, incidentally, was the second half of the sentence you chose to truncate in your response. I really don't care about the law one way or the other. It doesn't affect me at all. I was simply pointing out that there's no historical basis for the arguments being used to prop up the law in NC and other states. That's not to say an incident won't occur, obviously, but watching our elected officials plant the seeds of fear in North Carolina citizens is kind of sickening IMO....none allowed to occur because of transgender laws.
Apparently not.But like you, I'm done here as well ...
Good luck with that. McCrory accusing the DOJ of "Washington overreach" is remarkable irony.I'm proud of ... this law that will not change anytime soon.
That is too funny.....Good luck with that. McCrory accusing the DOJ of "Washington overreach" is remarkable irony.
All just comments and not backed up by any facts or stats. It's understandable how that experience would shape your perspective. Sex trafficking is sick and disturbing. Fortunately this isn't a 3rd world country, nor does the transgender bathroom issue engender that kind of evil.

Hey look at the bright side, if HB2 gets overturned, all the guys enjoying online kiddy porn can just 'identify' as a woman, head over to the YMCA and hop in the shower with some 12 year old girls. What can possibly go wrong??
Ymca of central carolinas as well as lower cape fear already has a policy of allowing people to use restrooms of their choice. can u link one single instance of a crime perpetrated by a man pretending to be a woman and committing a crime at a Y bathroom?
I'm not around the NC scene any more so I'd like to know the answer to this too if anyone has the history.I still don't understand why most everyone is talking about how dumb the state law is without mentioning how dumb the Charlotte ordnance was. It was a solution that had no problem. Trannies were not being turned away from bathrooms. No one was standing outside bathrooms checking for dicks. Had Charlotte not tried to make itself look good for political purposes then HB2 would have never existed.
Because men who look like men outwardly and women who look like women outwardly wanted to be able to use any restroom or locker room, based on how they "identified" that day, sexually. They did not want businesses to be able to "discriminate" against them because they "went into the wrong restroom." It's seriously one of the most politically retarded things I've ever seen. If you're a dude, use the mens room ... if you're a lady, use the womens room. Why is that so hard??I'm not around the NC scene any more so I'd like to know the answer to this too if anyone has the history.
The topic came up
And oh by the way, also went ahead and took away the right to set local wage ordinances.
Not going to tackle the rest of my post about how the state made it about WAY more than restrooms? That's fine, ignore what actually happened and just keep yelling BUT THE CHIL'RENS!"As I've posted before, whether you agree or disagree with Charlotte's ordinance, it was what the residents wanted. The topic came up, the city council didn't pass it. So the residents voted out the council members who wouldn't pass it and voted in some who would. That's how local government works."
That's right ... and the State legislature saw this ridiculous, dangerous set of circumstances and intervened to do what they felt was right. That's how state government works.

Why don't they make it easier on everyone, and just scrap the notion of a "Men's Room" and "Women's Room"?
Just have every bathroom be a "Bathroom" and anyone who needs to go - goes in there. That way no one can complain that they feel one way, or are being pushed another way, or anything. Essentially, the goal/rationale of the opponents of the HB2 bill would like it (in my understanding) is to make sure that no one is offended that their self-identity may be different from their biological gender. In this scenario - no one is offended because everyone uses the same bathroom anyways.
I actually agree with you, the rest of the junk should NOT have been part of this bill - but politicians are always politicians and I'm more concerned with the safety of my kids than anything else. Not going to tackle the rest of my post about how the state made it about WAY more than restrooms? Please explain what "dangerous set of circumstances" you are referring to."As I've posted before, whether you agree or disagree with Charlotte's ordinance, it was what the residents wanted.
