Taking the opening Carolina marches down the field and scores on a Maye bootleg to the left for the first score of the game. Big play was a Maye to Walker down the right sideline for 43 yards. Duke seemed to be surprised by Carolina coming out passing instead of Hampton running the ball. Burnett extra point 7-0

Carolina marches again but a penalty stops the drive but Burnette with a chip shot makes it 10-0. Maye tried to power in twice but got stopped both times. Hampton already has over 50 yards and just might have been a better chance to score than Maye…
