That shit was unreal. They had evidently stored tons of sodium nitrate there for 7 yrs without any safeguards.
Yeah - uninformed people on Twitter assumed since it's a mushroom cloud that it means it was nuclear. Tons of explosions cause mushroom clouds.
But yeah - apparently storing ammonium nitrate without safety precautions is pretty reckless. Why did Trump call it an attack?

I didn’t realize til now a similar blast happened in Texas some decades ago
