• The win clinches Carolina’s 44th winning record on the road in the ACC in 71 seasons.
• Carolina is 6-1 on the road this year, all in conference play.
• Carolina made 11 threes, most in ACC play this season and the most since the Tar Heels made 12 vs. Charleston Southern on December 29. The Tar Heels attempted a season-high 31 threes.
• The Tar Heels committed 16 turnovers that led to 22 Miami points. They were the second-most turnovers in a win this season (17 at Florida State).
• Armando Bacot played in his 156th game, breaking the all-time UNC record. It was his 155th start, also a record.

• Bacot had his 79th career double-double (11th this season). He passed Lew Alcindor, Jerry Lucas and Mel Counts (all had 78) and tied Oscar Robertson and Michael Brooks for eighth all-time in NCAA history with 79.
• UNC is 9-2 this season and 57-22 in the last five seasons when Bacot has a double-double.
• Bacot passed Sam Perkins for third in UNC career scoring. Bacot has 2,149; Perkins scored 2,145.
• Bacot passed Tim Duncan for third place in ACC history in rebounds. Bacot has 1,581 (Duncan had 1,570).

• It was Bacot’s 26th career game with 15 or more rebounds, second most by a Tar Heel.
• It was the third straight game Bacot had four offensive rebounds.
• Bacot blocked two shots. He became the first Tar Heel with 2,000 points, 1,500 rebounds, 200 blocks and 100 steals.
• RJ Davis scored a game-high 25 points. It was his eighth 25-point game this season, his 16th 20-point game and the 18th time he led UNC in scoring this season (UNC 14-4 in those 18 games).
• Davis made five three-pointers, the seventh time in his career he made five or more.

• Davis extended his UNC record for consecutive games making multiple threes to 21, six more than any other Tar Heel ever accomplished.
• Davis passed Joel Berry II for 14th in career scoring. Davis has 1,819 points; Berry scored 1,813.
• Davis passed Shammond Williams for third in UNC three-pointers. Davis has 236, Williams made 233 Bobby Lewis is 13th.
• Elliot Cadeau scored a season-high 19 points (previous was 16 at Florida State).
• Cadeau hit two three-pointers for the first time this season. They were his first threes in ACC play (his last was on December 29 vs. Charleston Southern).

• Cadeau had eight assists, his most in ACC play and most since he had 10 against Tennessee on November 29.
• Cadeau also had a season-high four steals.
• Carolina had a 10-0 run in the first half. It was the 16th time this season UNC at least one 10-point run (13-3 in those games).
• The Tar Heels scored a season-low one bench point (free throw by Zayden High).
• Carolina played its second straight game without Seth Trimble (upper body injury).
• Carolina held Miami to 26.1% from three (6 of 23). It was the 12th time an opponent shot under 30% from three this season (UNC 11-1 in those games).
• The Tar Heels led for 32:30, one game after not leading at all against Clemson.

• The Tar Heels are 27-10 against the Hurricanes, including 20-9 since Miami joined the ACC in the 2004-05 season.
• Carolina is 11-4 at Miami, including 9-4 in the Watsco Center.

The road gets tougher when people have video of how you play or have played you once previously. To wit, the following to 25 teams went down this weekend, Wicsonsin, Illinios, Tennessee ( crushed ), Kentucky ( 3 straight losses ), Auburn, and Texas Tech. Whole lotta reasons to be squared away every time you take the floor.

Now that is an even more thought provoking move than O[Brien leaving tOSU OC before coaching a down to become BC HC. UCLA was not left behind in. dead Pac (if it had been, it now would be in the ACC along with Cal and Stanford). So Kelly left being HC at a new BT member to become OC at the most powerful BT football member. Is that just Kelly making a move he thinks best for him to become HC in the NFL or for a major CFB power? Or is the move one that marks the huge gulf between a small number of P2 programs nd the rest of the P2 programs?

UNC or NC State won't be able to leave the ACC without approval from the UNC System president and its board of governors under a proposal to be considered by the board next week.
