Another Line in the History of "What If's"...

I remember this one big time. Marcus Smart was the top guy I wanted in that class. I'm pretty sure I even made a comment on this forum that the weekend of that scheduled visit was the same day/weekend as my birthday and all I wanted for my birthday was a Marcus Smart commitment. That 2012 class will always go down for me as one where we were SO class with multiple top guys but just couldn't land any of them.

I'm at the Rivals 5-Star Camp in Jacksonville, FL... (6-25: Live Updates)

I'm here for three days. Just checked into my hotel at 3:30 this morning. Tuesday is player check-in and media day, Wednesday is the actual camp and competition, and Thursday is the publisher's conference.

I will get some time with Bryce Baker plus some other noteworthy targets UNC is in contention to land.

Thursday will be a big day. You've seen the new layout of the site, and more things are coming. Can't wait to find out more and report back to you guys.

Antawn Jamison

Saw Antawn at a basketball tournament last weekend. We were playing against his son’s HS team. It was incredibly refreshing to see a former player just sit back, relax and enjoy his kid playing as opposed to the typical yelling, screaming and sideline antics that most of these guys do. He was super chill and was great with the people trying to talk with him and take pictures. Total class act.

There is another prominent former Tar Heel coaching his son’s AAU team that could learn a lot from Jamison.

The next evolution of NIL collectives and the battles that await: 'This is a big inflection point'(Yahoo)

College sports lurches, begrudgingly, into a revenue-sharing model that intends to eliminate collectives. As soon as fall 2025, schools themselves are permitted to fund their own rosters. They will manage their own salary structures, fundraise for their own salary pools, negotiate with agents and field those midnight calls from their own athletes. Well. Maybe. (Yahoo! Sports)
