We could lose a lot after this season. Our grads Armando, Cormac and Paxson for sure. Maybe Elliot and RJ. Somebody else might blow up and go pro (Ingram, Washington and Withers come to mind). Somebody else might transfer out from lack of use.

I'm figuring we lose 5 players, give or take, from our 11-man squad. With 3 freshmen scheduled to come in, that leaves 4 scholarships to hand out. Other than Boogie Fland, are there any freshmen we should be going after?

That said, after watching this clip, I'm not too worried. I realize defense was MIA in this game. Just look at the score. But Captain Jack was having a good time.

The Devils were unexpectedly good last year in Mike Elko's 1st season as HC. Can they take another step up in 2023? If so, they will win at least 10.

The ACC needs Clemson to take care of business tionioghtm rather handily. The league needs both FSU and Clemson looking sharp and remaining high in the ratings. Clemson hosts FSU Sept b23. The ACC needs that to e ba match of unbeaten teams. Then Clemson hosts UNC November 28. The ACC also needs that to be a match between undefeated teams.

Here we go fellas….

Good - trenches!
No sacks, just one TFL, plenty of TDs and 1st downs on the groun for the O. All those sacks and umpteen tfls and timely 3 & outs from the D. (Though a few tfl came from the secondary coming down on slants/flats).

Bad - Pass D. I guess?
Some of the yards were just insane catches with decent coverage. And Rattler is good. But we gave up a ton of yards thru the air despite all that pressure.

Ugly - That TD pass to the tightend (who was on his knees when he caught it) as Maye was falling back and double-pumping looked like something you'd do while playing back-yard HORSE for hours and getting bored. He's lucky it didn't get blocked, and lucky it didn't get picked off. Loved it though. He had a few other head-scratcher plays that you'd expect from a first-yr rather than a second-yr guy.
