NBA superstar Vince Carter may have retired in 2020, but basketball is in his DNA, and he continues to share his love of the game. Carter honed his skills at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, and he comes back every year to host a basketball camp. Just saw that there Will be exhibition game in October at the Dean Dome. Recently UNC has played some in state opponents for the exhibition contest and I expect the pattern to continue this year. If I had a say in the opponent I would choose from UNC-Wilmington, UNC- Greensboro or UNC-Asheville…

So with two blockbuster movies at the same time there’s a trend for seeing both same day. Hope these guys enduring Barbie with their girls are getting laid. That’s the only way I could stomach it. Only time I ever watched multiple movies same day was back in the good old days as a kid when the local downtown theatre in Asheville showed “creature features” with campy horror movies. I never understood my mom forbidding me to go (went anyway) until I realized some time later the same theatre was showing porn other days. It was probably cleaned well though.

The nonconference schedule is basically set, except the CBS Sports Classic still hasn't signed off on the opponent in that event in Atlanta in December. Strong speculation is it's UCLA, but until its fully set, UNC will not release its non-ACC slate.

I happened to be watching this Video (linked here) of the team practicing. Biggest thing that stood out to me is watch the two passes Cadeau makes, both right on target while he’s moving at speed. One was even behind the back. It’s been said multiple times but he’s the new and improved Kendall Marshall but has an offensive game. I know Kendall started scoring better his sophomore season but teams played off him. They can’t with Cadeau.

So trying to dig through stats it looks like Ed Cora might have the record for freshman assists at 234 (Kendall had 230). I’m guessing Cadeau gets at least 300… if Hubert plays him. Lol. Of course the other players have to make their shots. I feel we have a better shooting team but who knows until they play. Does he sniff Kendall’s single season record? I don’t think we have to worry about him trying to get his “own” like a Love. The games I’ve seen him play you can tell he will score when he has too but he loves to give out an assist.

Hubert's summer presser will start soon. He will be a little late becuase he's been at Cecil Exum's funeral in Goldsboro.
