Thats it for me

I hadn't watched a live streamed game since November... stupidly took advantage of some spare time to watch today.... two hours of my life I will never get back.

Quite simply, this is the most over-rated, over-hyped, unintelligent, discombobulated and poorly coached Tar Heel team I've ever seen.... well since Doh's 8-20 mess.

Hubert is a fabulous recruiter, but so far this year he's proven himself to be terrible at player management, player preparation, in game management, substitutions, use of time outs and preparation of set plays.

So, enjoy the season guys, I'll only be keeping a casual eye on the team from here on out.

In the face of negativity

Like most of you, I feel very negative about what I see on the court. There is little to say positive about the situation our Heels find themselves facing. I just wanted to express, as frustrating as this team is, I am forever grateful to them for beating dook last year and ending that rivalry and going to the championship game. I will take this year's pain, but I may complain a little less. I will hope for better things, but like last year at this time, I have very little. These are still the boys that did the greatest accomplishment ever imo.

This team isn't as bad as some of you make them out to be

Some of you can throw in the towel on the season and I've even seen people say it's the worst UNC team they've ever seen. Both of these sentiments are ludicrous. This team isn't as bad as some of you think they are. I know there's recency bias and losing to Dook never feels good, but let's talk about the delta, or lack thereof, between UNC and the top teams in the country.

All you have to do is take a look at how they played against some of the teams on their schedule, to see that if they can find a way to right the ship, and become one of the most dangerous squads as there will be come March. Look no further than the three game stretch early in the season when they played Iowa St, Alabama, and Indiana. All three of those teams are going to be highly seeded come March anywhere from 1-5 and UNC played ISU and Bama down to the wire and Bacot was dealing with multiple injuries against IU. Did they lose all three? Yes, but they demonstrated the ability to play even up w/ some of the best teams in the country.

Do they need to get right mentally? Yes. Does Hubert need to circle the wagons and hit the reset button? Yes. If those two things happen and UNC starts to execute on both sides of the court, then there's still plenty of hope left to think UNC can make some noise the rest of the way. Maybe the Wake Forest game was a wake up call. We all certainly hope so.
