Why in the fukk do it in the first GD inning? Beyond retarded.Don't you dare hit us 7 times and take out our best player for most of the season or else we'll give you a big lead in the first inning. Badass.
We're professionals. Why in the fukk do it in the first GD inning? Beyond retarded.
The Freeman-less Era is upon us. Buckle up. We're a 95-loss team without him in the lineup for 60 games. Now I get to see us get ripped to shreds by a dookie. The Braves are the gift that keeps on giving.
Bro... thanks for the heads up -.-I was actually at the game today. Place is absolutely beautiful and easy as hell to get in and out of. Thank God Turner Field is dead.
Everyone on I-85 can't drive for shit.
I can't think of everything.Bro... thanks for the heads up -.-
I was right behind the right field foul pole; lower concourse, top row, and directly beside the Chop House seating. I went all over the stadium, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house at all. Even the very top level seems extremely close to the field. With that said, I don't recommend where I sat, though. The Chop House seats are slightly elevated above mine, so I had to stand up any time a ball was hit to center. Luckily for me, all I had to do was watch us strike out or hit a grounder to an infielder, so I didn't have my view obstructed much. Otherwise, the place is spectacular.Where did you sit?
Yep. My dad and I wanted some father/son time since my mom was working Sunday, so I went up to Hickory Saturday night and we left Sunday morning around 6 and arrived around 10:30. Stopped by the Yard House for some fried cheese curds (delicious AF) and a burger before the game.Did you just drive in for one game and then drive back after? That's a power move.
The Battery is pretty damn awesome isn't it?Yep. We did have to leave the game a little early though, so I guess I get a bit of an asterisk. Kudos to my dad though. He woke up yesterday morning sick as a dog, but he toughed it out the entire day. I knew he must have been feeling bad when I asked him if he wanted to go home, and he said yes. Whether it's UNC, Braves, or whatever, he never leaves a game early. So we left after the 7th, and I took him back home. I stayed the night in Hickory because I was sick of driving, woke up early this morning and drove to work in Charlotte. So basically, I wanna go home.
It's a FAR better atmosphere than Turner, where the only restaurant beside it is some shitty place that calls itself the Bullpen and serves nothing but garbage greasy food. That place seriously sucked. I hope that place died with Turner Field. The Battery is pretty damn awesome isn't it?
You'll have it soon enough, friend. But yeah I'm quite accustomed to strep. The fever that can come with it makes you feel terrible. So my dad just texted me and told me he went to the doctor this morning and found out he has strep throat. That's a good reason to leave a game early, right?
Yeah, that's I'm afraid of. Oh well, I haven't had strep throat since I was a little kid, so maybe I'll get lucky. I guess the silver lining is if I feel bad out of nowhere, I'll know what it is.You'll have it soon enough, friend. But yeah I'm quite accustomed to strep. I got it a ton as a kid... like all the time. The doctors were like "okay, next time you get it, tonsils are coming out" and then I didn't get it again for the longest time. Like a decade.Yeah, that's I'm afraid of. Oh well, I haven't had strep throat since I was a little kid, so maybe I'll get lucky. I guess the silver lining is if I feel bad out of nowhere, I'll know what it is.
Damn dude. Did you ever figure out what the hell it was? Just like real intense food poisoning?Yeah, I remember you talking about it as you were going through it. Sounds like hell. I was always fortunate enough to rarely get sick as a child and right now. I've only had strep throat maybe three times my entire life, if even that. I'm one of those people who rarely ever get sick, but when I do get sick, it hits me HARD.
The scariest thing I've ever had to deal with was an intense stomach virus that I had gotten from somewhere when I was in college. Luckily, I just so happened to be visiting my parents at the time, so I was at their house. One moment, I felt fine, and the next thing I know, my legs felt completely weak. I pretty much knew I was coming down with something, but I had no idea what I was about to deal with. I just went to bed with the hope it was going to something I could deal with when I woke up in the morning. About an hour later, I rushed to the bathroom and had the most violent puke in my life. Afterwards, I was just like "okay, I just ate something bad and this will pass." Boy, was I wrong. This continued about every 15 minutes for hours and hours and hours until finally, their dog walked upstairs, figured something was wrong and started barking. My mom, who is a nurse, got up to shut her up and then she saw me. I don't know why I didn't just let them know, but I guess it was an ego thing. Here I was 21 years old, and I wasn't about to go completely kid mode and wake up my parents because I wasn't feeling well. By the time she had gotten to me, she told me to look at her, and I just couldn't. I would look, and my eyes would just roll to the back my head. I couldn't even stand at that point, and if I tried, I felt like I was gonna pass out. She rushed me to the emergency room, and my blood pressure was incredibly low. Like 70/50 or something like that, and I was in the midst of kidney failure. I was in the hospital for three days taking IV after IV. I ended up regaining enough strength to go home, but I wasn't myself for a couple of more weeks. Pretty much, I could have laid in my bed and just died if my mom never got me. Thank God for dogs, they are truly amazing animals.
I'm still to this day unclear exactly what it was. Honestly, I think it was just a really bad stomach virus, and I had gotten so dehydrated so quickly that my body was just completely shutting down.Damn dude. Did you ever figure out what the hell it was? Just like real intense food poisoning?
Yeah that's the danger of food poison. You pretty much have to constantly sip on water and gatorade during all that junk.I'm still to this day unclear exactly what it was. Honestly, I think it was just a really bad stomach virus, and I had gotten so dehydrated so quickly that my body was just completely shutting down.
He ate a microwaved hotdog.Damn dude. Did you ever figure out what the hell it was? Just like real intense food poisoning?
Nah that can't be it. He would've been pleasantly full and happy. He ate a microwaved hotdog.
Motte just saved Folty's dick.Folty amazes me how he can look great for 5 innings or so and then fall completely apart in a matter of 3-4 batters.
Dude's gotta stop that, no doubt about it.Folty amazes me how he can look great for 5 innings or so and then fall completely apart in a matter of 3-4 batters.
Yeah I mean if Motte didn't pull a Houdini and come in and give up zero runs despite runners on first and third with no outs, suddenly the lead is either skinny or gone. All of Folty's good work in the first 4 would've been for naught.Dude's gotta stop that, no doubt about it.
