April 14, 1865.... Abraham Lincoln is shot by John Wilkes Booth while attending a play at Ford's Theater. (It still amazes me at how easy it was for Booth to get to Lincoln. Sure, it was 150 years ago, but at that time basically anyone could walk in off the street and hang out in the White House lobby).
It was a different time. And speaking of the times, he might had lived if the doctors hadn't intervened. Same with Garfield 20 years later.
It's okay, they were tourists.
Yea, that one kinda got me. Those bullets to the brain usually don't work out so well for the target with or without a doc.
I got my history wrong!! It was Garfield who the doctors effed up:
