Coronavirus

Why stop there? I mean, if you're going to write a story, you might as well go for broke.

I reckon he had a rebel flag being flown from the truck, a tattoo of the good General, Robert E. Lee and one of those set of brass balls that swing from your trailer hitch. And he was beating his wife as they drove off, I bet. And littered. That sumbitch!
it's a fake story. If it was real, he wouldn't have gone outside to smoke; he would have lit up right there in the lobby.

The CDC, WHO, fauci, vast majority of health professionals, media, the nation’s coroners, dem governors....allllll conspiring to make us wear masks that they know does nothing! Don’t they look at fb memes and you tube videos??!! It’s just a plot to defeat trump!

Not to mention the rest of the entire world....

My kids will be going to school in the fall. Their school has announced. But my kids go to a private school. So I’m ok with them going to school everyday because it’s a small community and I know a large portion of the families. I trust they are living wisely and making good choices.

Public schools have a real problem on their hands. Folks around here are spittin mad about the decisions the local school systems have made and are making. I won’t blast them because (1) my kids don’t attend public schools and (2) it’s a super complex issue for them. In the end, ours here will choose the path that allows them to avoid lawsuits. But truth be told, I’d be very uncomfortable sending my kids into public schools just based on the numbers. Plus, I can’t make the same assumption that all families of public school kids are making good decisions in regards to the virus and living wisely. But the flip side is the emotional toll that kids being out of school can have on them. Not to mention all the kids that don’t live in a supportive environment or worse yet, they live in an abusive environment. It’s a shit show for sure.

Another question whats you guys thoughts on schools opening back up?

Tricky. I get both sides.

It's dangerous for them to basically be little carriers then come home to their grandparents and parents.

It's also a huge burden on the parents to have the kids home when parents now have to go back to work.

I'm gonna go with the ole I don't know on this one.

A+ answer.

We have the option of digital learning or in person with several conditions. I've decided to do in person. Lunch is served in the classroom, desks will be separated as much as possible and will all face the same way, masks worn all day and some other minor things.

They say kids are bad host and contract and pass along the virus at a very long percentage. Having kids wear mask for long periods of time will be a challenge even kids in mines age range of 10-13 and younger than that will be near impossible.

People that are really die hard on the "experts" side of the debate keep telling me is should listen to them but when it comes to schools and the experts advise of the low risk they want to say people are crazy for sending the kids back because its dangerous.

Mine will go back if he wants, my wife is certified to home school so I can do either but I don't want him to spend everyday in a bubble having to juggle school, learning, and grades along with worring about a mask and having to be policed to not get close to another child.

yea sounds brutal. Next thing they’ll be making them sit quietly in class, raise their hand to ask a question, and adhere to a dress code. Will there be arrows in the floors? Cause I’m going full Rambo if that’s the case.

You are the asshole that keeps shaming everyone that doesn't want to listen to the science, well the science and experts say that kids are not good host or spreaders so should we not listen now?

Excellent take

This is the mask threat, right? Some studies are coming down the pipeline that prove simple masks not only protect others but also protect you from getting coronavirus. I think they're related to "viral load".

Shocking shocker, eh? It seems entirely obvious from a common sense perspective & from an anecdotal perspective (look how well the Asians are doing), but perhaps now a few mask-deniers (but not the sado-masochostic ones) will have one fewer excuse to not wear them.

Sad that this country is so polarized that we need a concrete, scientifically proven theory about something before we all take it seriously.

Last week Trump retweeted this rant from ex game show host chuck Woolery

“The most outrageous lies are the ones about Covid 19. Everyone is lying. The CDC, Media, Democrats, our Doctors, not all but most, that we are told to trust. I think it’s all about the election and keeping the economy from coming back, which is about the election. I’m sick of it.”

lol sounds just like the deluded rants of a few posters in here

Come Monday the tune of woolery’s tweets changed

“ Covid-19 is real and it is here. My son tested positive for the virus, and I feel for of those suffering and especially for those who have lost loved ones.”

Sorry about his son. More sorry that this is what it takes to convince certain idiots that it’s not a world wide conspiracy to defeat trump.

they’ll just say the scientists are in on it too. Pandemic deniers share that mental illness with flat earthers and climate change deniers.

I don't support Black Lives Matter.

Same, if we're referring to that "group".

I support the idea that their lives matter, but the BLM group are filled with radical nutbags who are more racist and ignorant than any group outside of the KKK.

I hate Bernie's politics, but it's hard to argue his Civil Rights record going back to the 60s. When these idiots kicked him off a stage because they assumed he was just another old white guy they showed how idiotic and uninformed they are.

Yea they’re ruining any sort of grass roots support from mainstream America necessary to get real change with their tactics ESPECIALLY with being associated with antifa. Clinton tried to reason with them about this after Ferguson and they kicked her out the door.

Has BLM even put forth a reasonable plan for what they feel is “real change”? Not that I’ve seen. And I feel it’s because they really don’t want anything other than to throw a tantrum and be borderline unlawful. In their mind, the laws we have in place are “the white man’s laws” and therefore all they want is to go against that.

In other words, I have firm understanding of what BLM doesn’t want. But they’ve yet to declare what they do want and how to get there.

They want to call it equal while having 2 of everything black on this side white on the other. Then another split with black people on one side and conservative black people on the other.

But then again who really know what BLM protesters want because most of them are young white people protesting.

They always want anything or anyone owning a business to be forced to hire some many black people or the NFL to hire so many coaches, or to now having black NFL owners. How do you force rich black people to buy and NFL team? What if the owner don't want to sell? Yet I see all the time business with black owners hiring NOTHING but black people why do they not have the obligation to be in exclusive like everyone else?

I got into a debate with someone on Facebook about the BLM people that shot and killed the black girl in Atlanta, i ask them why there was no outrage for her and I was told BLM is just here to be about black people killed by cops. Its completely stupid.

They scream defund police and dumbasses like the leaders in New York cut fund and shut down special sections of the police and the crime goes through the roof, and these violent crimes are not taking place in the suburbs they are taking place in their own communities because they are the ones committing the crimes.

You got the LA teachers unions is saying the are not coming back to work unless the police are defunded all while 75% of black boys in California schools are not reading on grade level. Hell this could be a blessing.

You got houses full of mothers popping babies out every 9 months with dads no where to be found. Because our government is increasing the check for everyone they have. Then the older they get with no male figure to learn from but the ones on the streets the moms can't handle them and they end up in the streets slinging and good knows what, then next step PRISON!

Sometimes you have to stop blaming everyone else and look in the mirror and help yourself!

The BLM group and agenda is pretty insidious, actually. The way it's framed, any dissent against them forces that dissent to be immoral, racist, bigoted, etc..

I don't support Black Lives Matter. I'm sure you feel that statement is racist. Now you're not disappointed.
Of course that statement is NOT racist, don't be a buffoon.

This is the statement which makes you racist, the one you said in a thread about name change for 'Tar Heel':
"No, people of color aren't treated differently in America."

There is a teeny-tiny chance you're a sheltered, innocent little thing who just hasn't had enough life experience to know better, but that's not likely the case.
