Terrible sub patterns by Roy. Our bigs being weak on the glass during key stretches. Our bigs being Terrible on defense. Our carelessness with the basketball (turnovers). Justin Jackson continuing to produce empty minutes.

Britt was sorely missed tonight and totally out-hustled. Pretty shameful.

Absolute joke of an effort - again. This team is not playing to its talent - which is not the best the country anyway - but bitch efforts like this are embarrassing
Same team, different year. Roy hasn't had a well coached team since 2012. Looks like a sweet 16 team to me.
Regardless of all those specifics, our biggest weakness is that our kids are pussies when faced with adversity. We have zero toughness ZERO. Our kids still have that same deer in headlights look that we've had the last 3 years When it's crunch time. Talent to win it all, but mindset and toughness to execute down the stretch will cost us a title.
Some of those odd line ups didn't help ... From up 15 the lead dwindled away quickly. Regardless we have to play tougher and have more "want to" than what we've shown the last two games.
Agree. This team will flop out of the tourney just like they've done the last two years.
We were a Kendall Marshall wrist injury away from a title in 12 so I disagree that we haven't done anything since 09. I get your point though.
For this team to have as much talent as they do to play this poorly when we had been playing well (15 points lead) is not something on Roy, it is the players themselves. They were best almost every time on both trends of the court and when they had chances to stop them they either got out hustled to loose balls or out hustled getting rebounds.
I don't know what Brey has in his pre game speeches against us but it works. 3 losses to those bastards in enough.

We've seen this for 3 years with this core group. It shouldn't really surprise anyone.
The lineup with pinson and Jackson in at the same time cost us the game. That's when our big lead evaporated.
Title shot, not title. UK was pretty good. At least we hopefully wouldn't have lost to Kansas.
Stop making excuses for Roy Williams. No other coach in America would have a lineup on the floor of Berry,Paige,Pinson,Maye, and James. Game after game we take a lead and he runs a BS lineup on the floor and we fold up. He almost gave away a 20 point lead against VT in less then 8 minutes. He continually sits his best players for long periods of time. Not to mention he sits on his hands while his team get hosed by the officials. ND shot 38 free throws tonight and over half of them were weak BS calls. A team full of midgets lived at the line tonight.
And for what it's worth, Pinson has played some good minutes for us this year but over the last month, Roy has left that joker in during key stretches when he's turned it over, missed block outs, lost his man on D. He's the type of player you can get minutes from during the middle 20 minutes of the game. He doesn't belong on the floor after the last TV timeout.
Why does Bilas say the Heels are the best team? They are good but can't win against decent teams on the road. Not sure I get it... Oh yes I know, #1 lost - has nothing to do with this team... I love this group but sorry, not the elite team everyone is talking about. Possible contenders? Yes if all the stars AND planets line up...
Roy must let the best players play. quit getting big leads and then sup out let them catch up what did ND play 6 players.
Bilas says that because we are if we just play our top 7 or so for big minutes. Roy isn't going to do that right now though. I thought this year he would have tightened up the rotation by now but he hasn't. Of course, part of it is foul trouble as well. We foul too much. FWIW, I don't think the officials are the issue there. We do foul too much. Tonight we didn't get the same benefit of the doubt on our end but MOST of the ones on us were legit.
There were some fouls that were bogus but truth is just as many benefit us and I believe that. For the most part, ND earned their free throw attempts because we are extremely undisciplined and soft on defense. We don't move our feet. We don't rotate. We don't box out consistently here of late.
