Is trying his hardest to get credits to reclassify to 2017-2018 to go to Duke. That would be lame as hell.

If he likes Duke and K, and thinks he's ready, then this could make sense. On paper that team could be a championship contender and it could also be K's last year.

And it gets him into the NBA a year sooner, if I'm understanding how that works correctly.

I am willing to wager that Ayton is a better pro than Bagley...
Well, that's a ballsy wager when every scout disagrees. Ayton isn't even consideres the best in his class and Bagley is considered better than the best in Aytons class by a mile.

I mean, how much is anything? Cuz I am pretty sure I would take that bet with the decline of the big man in the NBA and the surefire consistency from scouts on the player in question.

The only question about Ayton is his motor. If you think Ayton is a true big man, then you have never seen him play. watch and see. Bagley also isnt "miles" ahead of Porter. Pump your breaks a little. Hell, RJ Barrett might reclassify to 2018, and that would bump your god send to #2 in the rankings. Not sure where you got your "how much is anything" comment. I didnt say im willing to bet anything.

I remember an even better prospect whose motor was questioned. He is pretty dominant in the NBA. I think his name is Dwight Howard or something.

Bagley IMO, if he stays healthy, is not just a future NBA all-star but is the best prospect to come down since Durant and could be even better. Just my opinion and no we have never been in it for him.

I am not going to minimize what I see him as just because he may go to a rival, I would rather know what they have than not.

Barrett is expected to reclassify and it should be made official next month.

I honestly dont care where he goes to school, but to call him light years ahead of any prospect in the 2017 or 2018 class, is just laughable. For gods sake, Zion was on the verge of taking over #1 midway through the season. Again, pump the breaks a little.

Betcha Bolden has not been getting much sleep lately. If Bagley heads to Duke this assures that Bolden will come off the bench only for a few minutes each game. Once K gets a player to commit to stay, he could care less. Bolden will be the next in line for a transfer. He is probably stuck now.....He will fall in line with "Bail Out" Dawkins, "Can't Miss" Murphy and "Too Late To Holla" Thornton. All are players that K-rat has abused. Bolden is the next in line.

Sounds like this is going to happen.

I agree Bolden may get moved to the bench. But K typically plays 7-8 guys. Assuming we get Bagley you are looking at Duval, Allen, Trent, Carter, Bagley, Bolden. That's only 6 guys....Bolden will still get plenty of burn, just might not be starting like he wants to. This may the motivation Bolden needs to work a little harder. His effort and motor are his biggest weaknesses.

This is his last ditch attempt at beating Cal for the best player, and competing for a national title.

kay is a piss poor, overhyped clown.

So he's a clown for trying to beat UK for a top recruit and trying to win a title? Got it.
He's a media-hyped clown who can't beat powerhouses named Mercer and Lehigh.
The OAD rodeo only worked once, and he's not beating Cal for guys like Bagley straight up. Next trick, get them to leave early since uK is out of ships.
He's a clown, and if you dont like what I say find a dook board coach.

You are free to say whatever.....I was just clarifying. You said he was trying to beat Cal for a top recruit and trying to win a title. i thought that's what college coaches were supppsed to be trying to do. ;)

I heard rat faces selling point to Bagley, is he desperatly needs him to get past the first weekend of the tourny. Bagley is intrigued..

Yeah. Considering that K twisted his arm to get him to stay.

Can he still transfer and only have to sit out this year?

If he's ready to put a lot of distance between himself and K, I bet Haase would love to have him at Stanford.

The other thing you have to wonder is if K has looked at Bolden's work this summer and not liked what he's seeing.

Bolden is the stupid one here. He should have transferred.

K goes by first impressions and this kid showed some lazy traits last season and was put in K's doghouse. If Bagley comes on board, Bolden is there solely as insurance and a few back-up minutes a game. Bolden came back because he was promised a starting position. He will wind up on the bench and will be upset all season. I will get shot for saying this, but I think K will release Bolden if he ask to be released before the season starts. Stay tuned!

I said a few months ago he would leave by semester break in December but you could be right.
However I have ZERO sympathy for him, his parents, DeLaurier, and the ones who already moved on. Get a clue folks.

So rather than accept the fact that part of the reason he sat last year, as you alluded to, was laziness (among many others). Instead of the noble response to learn from it, work harder and develop, since your goal is to get to the league as soon as possible, he should quit/transfer/run because at the first sign of competition he's toast and has no chance? That's strong advice and I'm sure the nba will love that attitude- laziness and running at the first sign of competition! What a combo.

So by this logic, K should just recruit 8 guys in one class and then not recruit again for four years, dont mind the fact that the landscape has changed immensely and kids you expect to be there multiple years are leaving and you need to fill the gaps. All because we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings including these parents.

So the number one player in the country who's already older than some of the incoming freshman wants to transfer and you don't think that Roy would take him in a heartbeat because he's worried about a current players feelings? Because the plan was for someone to start if he worked hard enough, now I should stop recruiting the best player in the country who I've already invested a ton of time and resources in?

This isn't rec league. Bolden knows this. Bagely knows this and K knows this. Bolden has an opportunity to play plenty of minutes since he, Carter and Bagely will all play. Unless you see only two guys playing 37-40mpg and the other guy only getting 5. Could it happen? Sure I guess, if Bolden didn't get a lick better this off season, if he remained "lazy" and if he just flat out isn't that good. As a Duke fan I'm not banking on that, although anything is possible.

Tell your overlords to unban me on your board lol.

And, yes, Bolden wants to showcase to go pro. Being a backup is not what he came back for.

Didn't realize you were banned. I'll bring it up at the next cocktail hour.

Obviously he didn't come back to play backup. Reality is you don't pass on the top player in the class either when situations change suddenly. To add, Bolden knows this- he's going to work harder hopefully to force the coaches hands. That's what great players do.

You guys are funny. Trivial question for you. What NCAA school has had the most 4-5 star players to transfer over the last several years? Do you think Bolden would have stayed at Duke if he would have known K was recruiting to bring in a 5-star player that would take his spot for the upcoming season? Let me tell you this. Bolden can work his butt off this summer and improve his performance by 500% and he ain't starting over Bagley. His butt will be on the bench and you know it. Bolden did not stay at Duke to come off the bench when he can transfer and start at another school. If Bagley is not on board, Bolden starts. You want a good example. Take Semi who transferred out. Who knows what Semi's status would be if he would have sat on the Duke bench for the last few years of his college career. Andre Dawkins left as a fruit cake because K messed with kid's mind for his entire tenure at Duke. Murphy was the first 5-star in history to redshirt. Thornton left because K lied on how he would be used. Obi Wan Nobody....the kid transferred from Rice and didn't get any run for 3 years and transferred.. what a waste. Obi never should have transferred to Duke. I hope K gives Bolden his release and I hope he does it before the summer is over. That is the least he can do. Bottomline, Bolden is the stupid one here. As the cliche goes "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". In this case it is even worst. He was led to water and almost drowned and still died because of lack of water''...:(

ill gladly go back and forth with you on each of the kids you named but what's the point? Your mind is made up on what you want to think was the scenario on each, when in reality you have no clue.

I'll state my same question again- are you saying that had Roy already invested time and effort into recruiting the number one player in the country, and that kid presumably wants to transfer to UNC a year early, that Roy is going to say nah I'm good bc we have "Player X" already at that spot?
