Netflix Finds

Godzilla minus one was really good. Easily the best of any of these. The story focuses on the dissatisfaction of the populace with the Japanese govt after ww2 which was interesting to me. Awesome special effects. Two things bother me

Why “minus one”? Must be a translation thing. Nothing in the movie hints at it

Why in the holy hell does the franchise always show Godzilla standing in the middle of the ocean? Going by scale it depicts him standing in about 40-50ft of water. The climax of the movie was to lure zilla to some deep trench like 1500 meters deep. They get him there and ….he’s standing up of course. Til he sinks. Then he comes back. And stands up.
I haven't seen the movie (though I grew up on B&W Godzilla movies) but this is why "Minus One." I don't know if the movie itself does anything to explain it, though.

reason #593 why Spectrum sucks. I recently got into the Yellowstone marathon shown on one of the channels. But of course I couldn't catch all the episodes so I decided to use Spectrum's ballyhooed 'on demand' service to go from start to finish. I completed season one no problem and was ready to delve into season two. But there was no season two. There was season one, three, four, and five, but season two was missing and unattainable. No how no way.

WTF good is that? What kind of POS outfit does that? It isn't even like they're hoaxing you into buying something, they just fvcking suck that way.

Watching the latest “justified” installment. Pretty tired story line first few episodes. oliphant hasn’t missed a beat though. Then It takes a turn you won’t believe.

I just watched “Knox goes away” and enjoyed it. Michael Keaton might be my fav actor. I read the summary and it was like “hit man tries to help son while dying from a disease” and i thought how lame. But because it was Keaton I watched it and it is way deeper than that and worth the watch. Won’t win any academy awards but I would say a solid 7 of 10.

I had sworn off super hero movies but was drawn into the hideous vortex of the latest flash because, once again, keaton. It was entertaining enough. 6 of 10
They had planned to use his batman in a Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson's MCU character) type role, which would have him in multiple movies, before they rebooted the whole DC universe. Kinda pisses me off that's not going to happen. They had also planned to do a movie based on Batman Beyond, but that was scrapped as well. I hope they all break their little toe kicking the coffee table for cancelling all of that.

If you’ve ever contemplated the scenarios of superheroes having sex, and what red blooded American male hasn’t, then generation V is for you. It’s an offshoot of “the boys” and it follows a bunch of horny teenagers with various super powers (one is super slow lol) living in a sketchy boarding school. It’s funny it’s gross and very entertaining.

large fan of “the boys” so it’s a must

“tour de france” season 2 is great so far…season 1 was outstanding…takes a special sort of human to go 30-60 mph on a bicycle, right next to someone else or behind someone else.

“Presumed innocent” is pretty good. Prosecutor gets accused of murdering a colleague and has to negotiate the judicial system from the other side. 7.2 out of 10

sign stealer is amazing and not surprising all at once…the guy under mack brown needs to be retrained.
I saw a game this past weekend where the sideline held up giant banners to hide the coaches when they were signaling. That’s a new one. We see all kinds of different ways to do it. But what occurred to me is they all try to prevent the stealing cause they prob all do it themselves.

“The terror” was good. Two ships get stuck in the ice in the 1800’s looking for the northeast passage. (It’s amazing how many lives and boats as well as small fortunes was wasted on that hopeless endeavor) its horror with a bit of sci fi based on a true story. 7.4 of 10

“The deliverance “

Kid gets possessed, walks on the ceiling, exorcist fails, moms love and Jesus wins the day. Sound familiar? Yea no shyt. I mean how the fuk do you think making another one of these with the same plot, same effects, same…..everything (except everyone is black) is a good idea?

And Yea I spoiled it for you. I wish someone had for me so I wouldn’t have watched it. I’m doing you a favor.

2.3 of 10. The two is for the main character having a nice ass. .3 is for a “nappy pu$$y” reference

I thought it was ok. I mean, it's just another movie in a long line of exorcist rip-offs, so I wasn't exactly expecting a best picture contender. You're just mad it's a black family. ****ing racist.

I was drawn in by it being about a true story I was familiar with. The actual story is way more scary but no kids walked on the ceiling that I recall. They could all jump like hell though

If you guys want to see a good movie, catch 'The Sorcerer' by William Friedkin, the 'Exorcist' guy. It is not what it sounds like, they were just trying to ride the success of the Exorcist when they named it.

Friedkin is one of my favorites. To Live and Die in L.A., Killer Joe, the Exorcist (which I wasn't that thrilled by because I had read the book and the book was ten times as good) etc.. Some channel had a special on his work and I was surprised to see that Quentin Tarantino considers The Sorcerer to be Friedkin's best AND one of the best movies ever, I agree but you might not. It's worth a watch though. Hell of a good movie.

You can't have an exorcist movie without someone crawling on the walls and ceiling.

I agree that it was excellent. The whole time I was watching, I just kept thinking to myself, wait, you can watch game film and endlessly study a team's signs. You can have limitless contact with the well known group of sign deciphering individuals who compile and share information about other teams. But, the NCAA has a rule that you can't physically go to a game and watch signs in real time? And that's what this all boils down to? I hate Michigan and particularly Harbaugh, but that's just absurd. I'm am glad that he's out of the college game.

there's also a rule that you can't purposely practice/teach circumnavigating NCAA rules by, for example, honing your flopping skills. How K never got tagged is beyond me. Maybe it was because the flops were so obvious that it was assumed they weren't being practiced.

The book was a pretty good read. Didn't know they'd made it a series, I'll have to check it out.
