NFL 2017-18

I believe those at the two oldest franchises to never reach a super bowl either. Not surprising.

That's not a surprise to me either. The Lions are facing a huge decision with Caldwell. I believe the team has peaked under his leadership. The current GM Bob Quinn didn't hire him, but the owner loves him. What they ultimately decide to do with him will demonstrate how committed they are to seriously contending for a Super Bowl title.

The Colts have officially fired HC Chuck Pagano. No surprise. I'm sure the Jim Harbaugh rumors will begin soon.

Let the Jim Harbaugh rumors begin

I don't see why he would leave Michigan right now since he really hasn't won anything yet. No Big Ten titles and no playoff appearances. This Colts job would probably be the only one he would even consider at this point with the connection to Luck. If he turns this job down, I think it's safe to assume that he will stay at UM for the long term.

I don't see why he would leave either but he never seems to stay anywhere very long. Plus he did play for the Colts and Bears, and they both need a new coach.

First thing Cam has to do in the off season is work on his mechanics. Seriously, I know we are short handed, but he easily should have made some of those throws today. He is horrendously bad right now.

Welp. Now that the regular season is finally over, a few things from a Panthers fan perspective:

I only figured they would win 10 games so they exceeded my expectations.

I said when it happened that the BS loss to the Bears would come back to haunt them and it did. Cost them the division.

I was hoping that the Panthers would get to play the Rams instead of the Saints again but it doesn't matter. They have the look of a one and done playoff team anyway.

If they don't upgrade the WR's, the are going to miss any opportunity to get back to the Super Bowl while Newton and the defense is still capable. That window won't be open forever.

Of course the pending sale of the team could lead to any number of consequences, good or bad.

They obviously need a QB but is there anyone coming out that is worth no. 1?

If they are lucky, maybe they can get someone like Barkley and a decent QB.
I would take a shot at one of the QBs since everyone they have tried recently has failed. Barkley would also be a nice pick, especially if they have a decent oline.
