NFL 2017-18

Saw a video of a couple fans wearing Vikings jerseys (attn: @UNC71-00) walking into the game. I don't know if they mouthed off prior to the camera rolling, but I doubt it since they were so far away. Anyway, these guys are just strolling to the game and Eagles fans are throwing full cans of beer at them. WTH is wrong with people?

I have less interest in this SB than any in recent memory. There just isn't a good storyline in it for me. The eagles winning isn't really a storyline to me because their fans are horrible. Maybe my storyline will be hoping that the patriots win by the biggest margin ever. So big that Hoyer sees significant playing time.

Brady does it again. I shouldn't have been surprised but I was. This one really seemed like the Pats didn't have it. But then TB12 saves the day. That dude is amazing. I also loved how Belichick was completely unconcerned with the AFC Championship trophy.

Man,...what happened to the Vikings? They got throttled. I never saw that coming. Foles played his ass off. Dude was a marksman yesterday. No chance he duplicates that performance, which he'll have to if they're going to beat the Pats.

Pats win the SB again, 27-17

Jags played scared. Just before halftime they got the ball back, up 14-10. There was still about a minute left and they had 2 TO’s, IIRC. And what did they do? They took a freaking knee!

Who does that in today’s NFL? They must’ve been so scared of Blake throwing an INT that they didn’t even try to move the ball for a FG before halftime.

Yeah that decision definitely felt like one an unranked underdog college team does going into half when they have a meager lead on a Top 10 team.

Everybody complaining that the Pats always get the breaks. But I call BS on that fumble. Lewis had that ball pinned to his hip when he hit the ground. Should have been overturned. Glad that play didn't mean that much.

Another big F up by the Jags was that delay of game penalty that negated a first down. Not sure if the play came in late or not but the QB needs to recognize and call a TO.

I don't need storylines. I just wanna watch the Super Bowl and hope it's a good game.

If Foles plays like he did yesterday.... ah, who am I kidding. Eagles will get smoked.
We'll always have the commercials.

Turns out I'll be in Florida at my stepmom's house for the Super Bowl. She only follows one sport and it's the NFL, thank goodness. She hates Brady and the Patriots (cheaters!) so maybe I'll have some fun with that.

I don't need them, but they make the game more interesting to follow. The most exciting thing to me about this SB is the commercials and food. The game itself isn't going to be interesting to me. Just another football game. I just hope they can keep politics out of the game.

Saw that video, was disgusting to see, I know some Vikings fans who were at the game and they said the Philly fans were just awful

I think I heard that Justin Timberlake is the halftime show. If true, maybe he can expose some other chick’s (not named Janet Jackson) nips this time.

I think they threw batteries at opposing players too, but maybe that was Raiders fans?

I’m not sure. I saw something on FB today that basically said “the most hated fan base vs the most despicable fan base”.

They aren’t lying. Patriots fans are unbearable and Eagles fans are just dangerous haha.

i didn't want to bring this up because i hoped it would be done last week, but dallas might trade or cut dez.

panthers, you want a receiver...what would you give up?

Well that's just silly.
Not really. The dude is not nearly as good as he used to be and is a whiny little bitch on top of that. If he came to the Panthers, here's how it would go. First play, Cam passes to Funchess. Dez is upset he didn't get the ball. Second play, Dez may be in position to make a play, but Cam decides to take it himself. Dez is really pissed off now and throws his typical temper tantrum. Third play, Cam passes to Dez and he drops it. Out comes the punting unit. Thanks, but no thanks. I want nothing to do with Dez Bryant.

I'm still rolling with the Panthers, but I'll be following the Bears a little more closely because of Mitch. The Nagy hire might be a home run. If so, the Bears are some WRs away from being quite competitive.

I follow the Bears a decent amount now because of Mitch. Their SB Nation site puts out a lot of stuff and is a good follow (Windy City Gridiron)

Agreed. They need help at their skill positions. Their receivers are bad. Now that Zach Miller's career is over, they need serious help at TE too. And Jordan Howard can't be your #1 back. Cohen is a nice change of pace guy that needs 10-12 touches per game. But Howard is a throwback RB from the 80s and 90s. He's a strong plodding type with very little receiving skill. Today's NFL doesn't suit him. I imagine he's only a bridge RB for the Bears.
