Offensive line made a big time statement

Anyone who fairly watched the game last night had to be impressed by the vast improvement of the offensive line who only allowed one sack of Howell and opened up monster holes for Chandler, Hood and Howell to run loose like a angry Moose.

Maybe the surge from the offensive line was created by the bulletin board smack talking from some Virginia players earlier in the week or the criticism from fans like me after the unspirited first 2 games or maybe a combination of the two but whatever the offensive line play was the story of the gsme helping Howell and Chandler have monster games. If a game ball is not giving to the O-line then there should be a serious investigation…

there was a huge difference in their play last night and the first 2 games. maybe UVA smack talk, maybe the coaches rode their butts this week, maybe UVA's 3 man front, maybe switching out 3 starters. who knows why but it was certainly nice and appreciated

Looked better, but I would not take away a lot from that game because UVA's front seven is really bad and they switched to more of 3-3-5 look this year.

better have 3 studs if you run a 3 man front and only 4 or 5 college teams have that - UVA isn't one of them. or you better play in a non P5 conference (maybe the Big12).

While it was a definite improvement, I seriously doubt UNC is going to see a 3 man front the rest of the way. So, this week will be a great indicator if we have improved or not.
