You mean like led zep? I watched the game and thankfully they didn't show him doing that.Maybe TAMU will hire away Elko? Actually I haven't watch the gm yet, but the box score tells me he is squeezing a ton of extra juice from his lemons.
Only unc fb can make wins as bad as lossesA win is a win I guess.
I've seen his name mentioned. Don't know if that's inside info from the media or just media speculation. Hard for me to see Elko at duke long term, though.Maybe TAMU will hire away Elko? I just read an article that listed him among five likely candidates. Not sure if it was purely speculative or based on something real.I've seen his name mentioned. Don't know if that's inside info from the media or just media speculation. Hard for me to see Elko at duke long term, though.
If the dude doesn't mix in a salad every now and then, he might not be anywhere long term.Hard for me to see Elko at duke long term, though.
All that weight Mack lost found it's way to Durham. If the dude doesn't mix in a salad every now and then, he might not be anywhere long term.
All it takes is a superhero qb...
probably as good as the odds of ruining a season by shitting the bed against two completely winnable games in a row. What the odds that Miami beats Louisville and then we instantly re-shit the bed against Clemson?
Not sure I would call a loss to Clemson a shit the bed game. Would be great to win out though, because that might be good enough for a NY6 game. Would need Louisville to drop a regular season game in addition to the championship game. What the odds that Miami beats Louisville and then we instantly re-shit the bed against Clemson?
Louisville is definitely beatable. I think we are the second best team in the conference and could probably hang with FSU for three quarters. Unfortunately uncfootball had to pull a uncfootball, so we'll never know.probably as good as the odds of ruining a season by shitting the bed against two completely winnable games in a row.
Louisville is beatable. They beat Va. (possibly) by virtue of one of the most cowardly PI non-calls I've seen lately.

it’s rampant…it’s never been this bad.one of the most cowardly PI non-calls I've seen lately.
45-34. duke had a really good defense as well and we had no issue with them. Would have easily put up 40 in regulation if the red zone play calling was better.Clemson is a touchdown favorite already. I'm concerned it will be a total beat-down this weekend. Clemson has a top 10 defense and absolutely the best defense UNC has, or will, face this season. That place will be rabid... their last home game against a top 25 team.
It's not a drastically better defense by the stats. I know it sounds weird but duke football is actually good at something. And other than the UVA game, we're having no issues scoring. It's weird to me that people seem to forget how good our skill position players are. Probably one of the best in the country as a whole, but every week people think we'll have a hard time on offense. But the red zone play calling wasn’t good. It rarely is good. Why would I think it’s gonna magically get better on the road against a better defense?
RZ stats are much better this yr than last overall. Top-20 due to Drake minus OL. We'll put up points. Another nail-biting shootout. But the red zone play calling wasn’t good. It rarely is good. Why would I think it’s gonna magically get better on the road against a better defense?
that's only because they've seen us play.Probably one of the best in the country as a whole, but every week people think we'll have a hard time on offense.
Obviously they haven't, because we have one of the best offenses in the country. Best QB, arguably the best RB and one of the best receivers. Throw in one of the best TE rooms as well. That's why...that's only because they've seen us play.
Unc is currently 3rd in ncaa total offense
Fify, but the let down will likely be on the D or ST side unless Drake or Hampton get hurt.that's only because they've seen the team let us down somehow since dawn of time

Mac Brown's post-Duke presser made it sound like they'd just beaten UGA. It was the dookies... that's all. And, to Mack's credit, he can beat the dookies. They're always close games... too close. But, he can paint a lucky-ass win and make it look like they conquered Rome.
Mack may know there’s a lot of fans like me who measure a season and a coaches success by whether or not we beat dook and $tate. Loose to dook and there’s people marching with torches and pitchforks. He felt the pressure and was relieved to get by.Completely agree with this. The most disappointing thing about the duke game was us rushing the field (against duke!) and Mack crying and celebrating it like we just won the national title. It was more than a bit embarrassing.

depends on how you judge your letdowns, and which part of the team is sputtering. Our offense struggles to get into a rhythm. We should not be barely squeezing out wins, and each part of the team figures in that...but it's the offense that should be rolling over people and it has done that inconsistently. I don't expect much from the D at this point, so it's hard to be letdown from that angle. Or maybe I should say they are a letdown in general, especially with the SoCar game still in my head. WTF happened?Fify, but the let down will likely be on the D or ST side unless Drake or Hampton get hurt.
we might be watching different games. See my other post re: this. We struggle to get the consistency on offense we should have, We have the tools but we aren't making the best use of them, IMO. I judge by production, not potential. Some teams produce as well or better with lesser tools.Obviously they haven't, because we have one of the best offenses in the country. Best QB, arguably the best RB and one of the best receivers. Throw in one of the best TE rooms as well. That's why...
being fairly and favorably compared to our woeful defense is not the way to judge our offense. Our offense has also contributed to our problems by not being as consistently good as it should be.Unc is currently 3rd in ncaa total offense. Impressive
They’re 79th total defense. I didnt admittedly put a lot of study in it but first glance I don’t see any top 10 overall teams lower than 30. $tate and Clemson are both top 10. So to be capt obvious it’s….obvious what’s keeping unc from the next step.
All I can do is go by the stats and what I see. The TE room comment was probably a stretch, but everything else is correct. I was surprised to see where Hampton was at statically.Do you believe all that? We have Drake - the best QB in the country. Hampton is a nice back but best in the country? C'mon man. And don't get me started on the receivers. Just stop that nonsense. Tez is a nice deep threat. He's not even the best at that, let alone one of the best overall receivers in the country. Get real. And Copenhaver is a decent blocker and Nesbit is a decent receiver. Decent. Hardly world beaters. If you've watched our games over the past 2 years, which I know you have, you have to have noticed that we have won many games with Drake being a miracle worker. Not because our WR corps beasted on defenses. Not because our RBs were taking over games (ok, Hampton did take over that one game). Not because our TEs are killing the seam route. It's been Drake who has to frequently make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
I am close with you regarding how the season has played out and how we as fans should view this season. But the exaggeration and hyperbole you're using here isn't helping.
