that is also a very big deal at our beloved institution, much more so to the PTB. But consider this....if a coach (Bill Dooley) had been given the control he wanted way back when, we might very well now be wondering who we would be playing in the CFP..
Mack2.0 beat the hope out of all of us. We are fed-up with being mediocre, fed-up with the ACC, fed-up with NIL and cfb becoming a g-league. We don't really care. I'm done with heel's fball. I'll keep up with Hubert and hoops, hopefully they can figure things out in time to make the big dance but i'm done with the grid iron.

All this media exposure and hype would be a good thing except that it’s exposing that UNC is a totally dysfunctional cluster fuk when it comes to making coaching changes. Evidently some behind the scenes, power struggle has frozen the process with Belichick as a rift between the board of trustees and Bubba Cunningham is exposed. What a disaster.
Belichick presented a 400 pg manifesto to unc detailing his vision for the program. It is a total restructure of how things are done and includes min pay for two staffs (one coaching the other recruiting) and what improvements would be necessary. It would have to be signed off by numerous people some who evidently are not on board. He asked for an answer within 24 hrs which would be today. We’ll see.

I read that one of the higher ups got his panties wadded up over the timing of Mack's firing and is pissed at Bubba over it. I say how about STFU and let the man hired to be athletic director do what you hired him for.
Dude this shit is crazy. The higher up actually went over bubbas head and made an offer to bb on his own. He is the same that was unhappy about browns firing and has also pushed hard for unc to realign conferences and criticizes bubba for failing to do so. So of course shit hit the fan and it became a shit show power struggle. Then when it appeared everyone was on board came bb’s non negotiable demands. His gf to be head cheerleader and pick her courses in grad school, all players must sign an agreement that they won’t transfer just to name a couple. He is putting up 50 million to be divided with the team should they win a natty. Anyway the demands started another round of dick measuring and so far they are not in agreement. If it doesn’t get done today it ain’t happening imo.
if I was Bubba, I might find that unforgivable. I almost do myself, but I'm sure it would be better to wait for all the deets to come out.

The top rated QB in 2026 has said he wants to take a visit. Would be interested to see how BB handles that since Baker will probably be starting at that point. He would have to convince him to sit for a year or two.

I have no idea how a lot of this works out except for one thing. We are gonna have a good defense. And that excites me cause that’s what separates the good teams from the avg and bad. There is very little good defense in cfb and those who play it have success.
I saw a chart comparing NIL numbers of all schools. Unc would be third assuming the 20mil is correct. Only Ohio st and Oregon have more. What shocked me was uva coming in around 12th I think.
