OOTB Chain Restaurants Tourney: The Matt Harvey Region, Presented by Durex

You're putting stock into a guy's opinion when said guy uses "barbecued" the adjective?
As opposed to the guy that thinks crock pot pulled pork is the real deal or qt hot dogs are the truth? I'm secure in the truth that my pallet for q is of a much higher standard than your's.

I decided to stop by Jimmy John's tonight for one more try. I've only ever had one of their subs, and it's whatever they call their club. It's decent, but nothing to look forward to. I went with their standard Italian (the Vito with hot peppers) since they say you can really judge a sub place by how good their Italian is. It sucked. Bone effing dry. I'm one of those who believes it's a sin to put mayo on an Italian sub, but you almost have to on this one since it's soooo dry. It wasn't the worst sandwich I've ever had, but it was a major disappointment. I think I prefer Subway. The peppers were good though, so there's that. Jimmy John's and Dickey's should switch seed numbers.

On the basis of the arguments presented in this thread, I will officially change my vote from JJ's to Dickey's BBQ Pit. (And I will try to eat at one sometime.)
Closest one to you is Southern Pines so not exactly close lol. You're spoiled though being close to the famous Eastern cue places.

I've actually been known to eat it too, as long as it's at a place that has a variety of different sauces so you can sample them all in one sitting. But it's kind of like Nickelback, where it's just too much fun to mock people about it:

In all seriousness, check out Melvin's next time you're in the Charleston area. You won't be disappointed.

Actually there are three in the Raleigh area and one in Wilmington, so I could get to one pretty easily if I want. The problem is, you're right, I'm probably not going to go to those places to eat barbecue. I would like to try the brisket.

#1 Chick-fil-A
Easy day.

#8 Dairy Queen
TGIF, Fuddruckers, Applebees, Red Robin, is there any actual difference between any of these places? The Blizzard alone, overpriced as it is, earns DQ the nod.

#5 Buffalo Wild Wings
Even easier day. Sonic gets blasted by a Buzz Bomber, loses all his rings, and never recovers.

#4 Burger King
Add O'Charleys to the list above. Get back to me when you have some kind of identity.

#11 Moe's
+1 for Welcome to Moe's and the paintings of musician impersonators. Love the quesadillas and burritos.

#14 Baskin-Robbins
31+ flavors of kicking Olive Gardens' ass.

#7 Papa John's
This is the dregs of this region. Vastly inferior to Domino's but if somebody else orders it I'll eat it. Should slide by thanks to drawing IHOP as its opponent.

#2 Jimmy John's
I ate at Dickey's once. I wasn't that impressed. Then it closed.

Don't like this bracket. Very few here I like but went with what I despise more than the other.

Chick-fil-A (easy one)

Dairy Queen

Sonic Drive-In (BWW's sucks out loud)

Burger King (going with 70's quality)

LongHorn Steakhouse

Olive Garden

Papa John's Pizza

Jimmy John's

Voting ends tonight at 11:59. We are sitting at 17 votes so I'm kinda tempted to close things right now since we're at an odd number. Plus 17 is exactly what we've been averaging each round. Thoughts?

For now, voting is still open though.

Chick-Fil-A
Dairy Queen
Buffalo Wild Wings
O' Charley's
Longhorn
Olive Garden
IHOP
Jimmy John's

If no one breaks the tie, I'll be forced to take action. And action I shall take.

Plus, if you had ever eaten at Dickey's, you'd have voted for them instead of JJ, fam.

Not necessarily. I like BBQ. Hell im 20-25 from the Honeymonk and I've only eaten there once in like 2 years. I never really crave it.

Oh well. It's your tournament I'm jus voting in it.
