OOTB's Political Thread . ..

So you really are racist? Ok. You cannot even address the substance of what he says because you are such a racist? Is that your point?
You're the dumb ass who brought his skin color, his "black accent" and race into this entire discussion.

Help? lol... you're a reflection of his crazy ass only he puts in a lot more hours.

I never mentioned Walker's race, his "black dialect" or accent or anything else about his race, color, creed... or Warnock's for that matter. @randman1 decided to take it in the racist direction... and this showed his own implied racial prejudice.

You know a thing or two about putting in the hours on a message board. I’ll take your word for it.

Because I am fine with a southern accent and actually like that.

Btw, are you the kind of guy who would buy this for his daughter?

I never mentioned his accent or his skin color, or the assumption that he has an accent based on that skin color... you did.

Said the married guy that never gets laid... as he argues endlessly with the bachelor pretending he's not projecting his own shit life.

You seem upset. I figured you we’re going to tell me you were a bachelor by choice. Lol. But don’t get too down. There’s still hope that before you die, you’ll find someone that doesn’t find you detestable. I’m pulling for you, you pitiful motherf*cker!

I'm sure you have to pull... a lot.

Thanks for the laughing reaction @randman1. I’ll add it to my extensive collection that others can’t stop talking about.
It's a little strange on that emoji since some obviously use it to mean they are laughing at someone and others that they are commending them and laughing with them or with the astuteness of their comment.

Indeed. I use it both ways frequently. But it’s not hard to figure out which meaning is intended. For example, if you’re @strummingram, and someone uses the laughing emoji on one of your poasts, you have to figure they’re laughing at you. He couldn’t be funny if he ripped off George Carlin’s jokes.

so Maher points out often how the right isn't wrong and your take on that is that it's because the right deserves to be trashed. Sure, that makes sense.

But it bothers you that I believe most people want normalcy, which is much more a conservative thing at this point than it is a liberal one. You are a misguided soul, my friend. You truly are. I am not the one who is willing to die on the hill of crushing a baby's skull at birth and letting in MILLIONS..and counting...of illegal aliens and spreading them all over the country. You are caught up in an intentionally fostered hysteria and you are incapable of out thinking your emotions. If you were, you'd easily see how wrongheaded your POV is. Don't bother telling me once again how you aren't for crushing that baby's skull....because you are more than for whoever might run for office with that obscenity promised to real extremists, as long as they are dem.

What I am against isn't the opposing party, except that the opposing party is the one that won't eliminate the prospect of no-restriction abortion and continuing the flood of illegals into our country. I'm not just tilting at windmills like you are.

Please feel free to list some right wing extremes that stack up against no restriction abortion, or financial policies that have relatively well off people relieved of their financial responsibilities, and people's retirement accounts down by over 20%. I'll be waiting.

I say again, you are nothing more than a knee-jerk liberal. If you want to prove me wrong, factually give me those terrible right wing extremes.

This is full of mischaracterizations.

Why am I suddenly willing to vote for any Democrat even if they supported aborting a baby after birth? Which I invite you to find a Democrat that does support that position for one thing. The difference being is I can showcase the actual extremes you claim are hysteria or don't exist altogether.

Example A: Ohio's horrendous abortion law (except for the life of the mother)

Example B: Election denial

Example C: Firing the entire civil service

Example D: The increasing boldness of injecting conservative Christianity into government and the intersection being Evangelicalism, election denialism, theocracy, and the 'replacement' theory.

There are more but these are just four that came to mind. Chief among them is election denialism.

It is clear to me, what you accuse me of being, a person willing to vote Democrat in any circumstance no matter what the cost, is actually something you've done far more often than I have. You'll shift goalposts for every one of these issues I bring up and behave just as knee jerk as I do in defending 'your side'.

So let's hear more about how I'm so awful and a hypocrite, etc.

Simply scare tactics that you and the Squad accuse the Pubs of using. Again, if you want to know what the Dems are up to, just look at what they accuse Pubs of doing. You’re so transparent. You said you’d be happy to address inflation, soaring crime, soaring costs of gas/food, the invasion at the southern border, Biden’s dementia, etc… But you never do. You talk about right wing extremists, how about discussing left wing extremists like Antifa and BLM? You and the members of our Squad are just as much extreme leftists as the Squad in Washington.

@carolinablue34 , you mention election denial. Here’s a video showing members at the very top of the Dem party as well as many members of the MSM denying the results of the 2020 election. Dems started this whole election denial bullshit.
Georgia is apparently having a record early voting turnout despite all the republican attempts to put in place rules and regulations to deny the ability to vote (idiots can't even cheat correctly, apparently). So, if and when Stacey, the current and soon to be re-elected governor of their great state, fails to be sworn in for what she will claim should have been her second term as governor, will she be included as an election denier?

Damn, I hope that idiot Abrams loses. Listen to this.

"[Abortion has] been reduced to this idea of a culture war," Abrams said. "But for women in Georgia, this is very much a question of whether they're going to end up in poverty in the next five years because women who are forced to carry unwanted pregnancies.

"They're four times more likely to be impoverished within five years. They're twice as likely to be on food stamps. This is an economic issue and it's being reduced to this culture conversation."

Later in the interview, Abrams was asked what she would do as governor to combat inflation.

"While abortion is an issue, it nowhere reaches the level of interest of voters in terms of the cost of gas, food, bread, milk...what could you do as governor to alleviate the concerns of Georgia voters about those livability, daily, hourly issues that they're confronted with?" MSNBC contributor Mike Barnicle asked.

Abrams replied that "having children is why you're worried about your price for gas, it's why you're concerned about how much food costs."

She continued: "For women, this is not a reductive issue. You can't divorce being forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy from the economic realities of having a child. It's important for us to have both/and conversations. We don't have the luxury of reducing it, or separating them out."

So apparently abortion is the solution for concern about the high cost of gas and food. Who knew? What a maroon!

Kill babies and there are less people and less demand for food and gas. Makes sense.

But remember, it's only the republicans that are nominating "halfwits" according to some poasters here.

She's no halfwit. She's made a mint off of this schtick.
Well, she is a halfwit, she’s just made money off her political agenda. Like 75% of our politicians do unfortunately. One need only look at the entertainment industry(including sports), to know that intelligence is not a prerequisite for becoming a multimillionaire. Hell, look at our President.

YOU are the one mischaracterizing. I have pointed out that the dem party is the one that won't take no-restriction abortion off the table, and YOU are the one who supports the dems in knee-jerk fashion without fail. If you vote for a dem, any dem, you are voting for no-restriction abortion because when a bill comes up LIKE THE ONE THAT NEARLY PASSED already that allows abortion up to the time of birth, the dems will at least largely support it.
But you think you're going to slither away by implying...not actually saying....that you might not vote for A pol who directly favors no-limit abortions. You fail A).

And as I knew you would, you are going to compare crushing the skull of of a baby at birth to highly restrictive abortion laws and think you're making points. You are not. To begin with, we know that you will sneak in some innuendo and insinuation regarding these abortion laws. Remember when you tried to sell us on the horrors of the woman being denied abortion medication that she needed for her health, when it turned out the 'horror' was that she had to wait ONE DAY for the request to be processed? Same goes with the abortion laws. Until you factually demonstrate that they actually deny all abortions in all circumstances, I call bullshit on you just from experience.

In the case of the Ohio girl, she was able to get her abortion albeit with a little trouble, and I say good for her, under those circumstances. But then you and the other knee-jerks weren't satisfied with that and pilloried the State of Indiana for harassing the doctor for providing the abortion when it turns out that she was rather being investigated for improper reporting of the event, having been a problem before and having lied about the facts in this instance.

B) Election denial? Are you seriously going to deny seeing the video posted here recently of the denial when Trump was elected? GTF out of here with that weak shit. Election denial seems to be a tie game at worst. But election denial compared to flooding the country with MILLIONS of illegals? GTFO. You want to include the near-toppling of our government and plunge into Nazism that occurred on that Jan. 6? Be my guest, because by the time we can get those current jackasses out of office, we'll all be wearing sombreros and having tacos for breakfast. You lose B)

C) firing the civil service. Really? Civil servants have been subjected to political favoritism since politics was invented. This isn't even worth responding to. C) no contest

D) and here's the one we all knew was coming. The subversive injection of Christian Nationalism into our bureaucracy. OH MY GOD NO, say it can't be true. Anything but putting Christians into the government. Line up a thousand newborn babies on the railroad track, but don't you dare let a Christian influence anything, as if that is going to happen anyway. What would you think of maybe providing a single example of how Christian Nationalism is ruining...nay, affecting...your life. D) predictably ridiculous, you lose again..

You might have misunderstood, and if so I apologize. I was asking for extremes of the right that compare to the extremes of the left. You can try again if you'd like, but if you'd rather leave your offering as the joke that it is, I'll accept it. It's a good one.

Yep. Not sure why Strum thinks some of his comments are funny when no one else does.
