Polarization that would threaten to tear the country apart is something you don't have an issue with as it suits your aims? The ends justify the means. That's good to know.
Clearly you cannot resist it and I have no trouble in saying that you are just as inept at resisting buying into complete bullshit as anyone else in this country. The mere fact you give credence to someone like randman is disturbing as it is.
Then I will ask now. What bothers you about the far right? Aside from their stance on environmental issues.
you make it too easy. That's because your POV is flawed.

A country going in the direction ours is going should be torn apart rather than dragging normalcy down the drain with it. You might want to think outside your pampered little environs to consider that countries being torn apart isn't some new phenom that only we are being threatened with. Countries have been torn apart far more than have remained stable. You might also want to consider that it's the direction your ilk is taking that's providing the pull that causes the tear. If you want to avoid a tear, just stop pulling.

You just said a mouthful, and not to your benefit. I have clearly stated in this thread that I don't agree with everything
@randman1 brings, and all you have to do is notice that I don't 'like' his posts in rubber stamp fashion. That doesn't mean I disagree, but it does mean I don't feel good enough to endorse all of what he posts. Some things I heartily do agree with and I'm not afraid to do so just because you might not like it. Isn't that the way it should work? Yet here you are chiding me because I don't reject everything he says. I can say with confidence that that is NOT how it should work but in fact tags you as the one buying the party line, hook, line, and sinker, as well as idiotically rejecting the baby with the bath water because like so many libs, you act out of hysteria and hate.. Bone ape tit.

Funny, we were talking about the right, but now it's the FAR right. So I don't really know which way to address this but I'll take the opportunity to make a distinction. The right is NOT the party of religious extremism, but it is a party that fully endorses the right of any citizen to practice whatever law-abiding religion one chooses. The fact that I endorse your freedom to wear an Indian headdress every day doesn't mean I want to require everyone else to do the same. It's the FREEDOM that matters, and I can't deny yours and expect you to grant mine. So it's live and let live.
I am not religious myself but I fully endorse this freedom even when I don't care for many of the concepts involved. You don't bother me with your bullshit, I won't bother you with mine, for one thing; the other thing being that people practicing a code of not being evil, crazy assholes can't be all bad. On the other hand, there are those who would make us a theocracy or something close to one. They should be be distinguished from those who merely want .the golden rule, a Christian principle, to be the basis for our laws, as I and most reasonable people do. Those who want to take the literal word of the Bible and have us all dance to it are not people I care for. But contrary to what you constantly try to put forth, those people are not crawling out of the woodwork and taking over the government. I didn't include them previously simply because they weren't worth including, but you seemed to be fishing with your FAR right shift, so I'm obliging....because for the most part those few who are theocrats are rightists. They are a non-issue.
Some in the right allow their ties with business to get in the way of good judgement, but that isn't to be confused with those who simply understand that the freedom to do business unencumbered by foolish government burdens is one of the more heavily abused freedoms of our current structure.
Back to the right. As someone else was arguing the other day, some of us, maybe many of us are hung up on Victorian ideas. I have a really hard time with those who freak out at the thought of seeing a mother expose a breast to nurse a child...a breast that our entire mammalian lineage relies on for one primary purpose, which is to nourish babies. The naturalness of a nursing mother is one of the most warmly human activities there can be, yet we treat it like the most shameful if done in public. Why shouldn't it be done in public?
One reason is that so many, especially so many of those on the left, are hell-bent to go in the other direction and turn everything into a sex act. I've been in a number of homes and watched and conversed with nursing moms, sometimes in the presence of the husband, without feeling either shame or sexual arousal. It is CRAZY that the average person can't say the same.
Along the same lines, we are just as stupid to stult the natural curiosity of our children. Don't shut the door on the curiosity, just handle it with maturity.
All that being said about sex, there is a huge leap between allowing a nursing mother to nurse in appropriate public places (not inside unobliging retail stores, etc ), and the absolute lunacy of letting women go around in public with their tits and asses hanging out, or men masturbating openly, and exposing children too young to really understand to cutting off penises and becoming prostitutes. I can't say exactly where the line is drawn between too uptight propriety and outright permissive insanity.... and that sort of line must arbitrarily be drawn......but I sure as hell know when I'm on one side of that line or the other, and nothing else divides left from right so clearly.
So what about #42, 504. Looks like you have the time now.
