The next time I see two "Christians" with the same understanding of metaphor and allegory, in regard to Scripture in Biblical text... it will be the first time.
It would be great if people did observe the Old and New Testaments with a healthy dose of metaphor and allegory and also understand the Bible through a Jewish/Hebrew lens. They are stories. They're not historical facts. Most evangelicals that I've ever encountered worship The Bible. They don't even realize that.
