You can bring up details that denigrate the right til the cows come home, but all I have to do is remember the singlular fact that dems put forth a bill that would specifically allow abortion right up to the point of birth and that the bill almost passed, and you can point out anything you want to about the right and it will just go in one ear and out the other. A party that supports that will support anything.

And if for some reason the abortion thing slips my mind, I can go to the grocery store and get half the groceries for the money that I could two years ago, or think about MILLIONS of illegals being funneled into the country IN WILLFUL DISREGARD FOR OUR OWN LAWS, and I have no problem seeing that there's the dems and then there's any goddamn thing else that will thankfully oppose them.

That's because he espouses things that the right does that differentiate them from the left, and then sums that up by bashing the right as if his devotion to the left was genetic. As much as a Trump second term would please the shit out of me, I really hope he’ll do the right thing and not run again. He’s unelectable. Not because he can’t legitimately win an election. But because he’s so hated that Dems and GOP leaders will come together to cheat him again. So because of that, we can’t have him going after the next best thing in DeSantis. Hopefully someone gets in his ear and convinces him of this. Maybe broker a deal where DeSantis will publicly credit Trump for everything after he wins.

I have tried to debate in good faith with you, but you have demonstrated time after time that in spite of making good points to debate, you just relentlessly mouth your liberal agenda....all while claiming out of the other side of your mouth how neutral and unbiased you are. You always ignore common sense and plain truth to do so. Typically, instead of arguing any points, you'll say 'your post is full of logical fallacies, etc', without once attempting to identify any said logical fallacy.

I gave you once and for all a real opportunity to put your contention on the line and you won't take it. It isn't there for debate, it's there for you to show that you either are or are not a hypocrite. We all know why you won't address it because we've known it all along....you're just a liberal hypocrite, and then some.

Am I wrong? Show me. Answer what I posed to you in post # 42, 504. Show me that Hillary Clinton and a slew of others claiming that Trump was not legitimately elected and that he was not in fact the legit President, is qualitatively any different than Trump doing the same thing. Not different in detail or volume, just for all intents and purposes how that's any different in having some deleterious effect on democracy. You claimed that Trump was treasonous and dangerous in the way he poisoned minds. How is it that Hillary Clinton wasn't the same thing by saying the same thing. If Trump was responsible for J6, how were they not responsible for the BLM and antifa riots by creating a divide? I'd really like to see how that works.

So we have about 6 different - you have Kelly, Warnock, Hochul, Hassan, Whitmer, Walz.

You may be right. We will see. Here’s why I think things will go +R or -D is more accurate: some of these factors not measured in the polls.
- how pissed off all Rs and 70+% of indies, and some Ds are with Biden.
- how Rs - and many indies - have significantly higher intensity to vote than Ds. People are pissed. Tired of the BS and itching to make Ds pay. “No more bullshit!”
Ds squandering / losing of so many Hispanics, blacks, and suburban moms. You lose a ton of those three demos and prospects get bleak.

The reason Ds have lost these is: everybody is pissed off about: crime, the economy, the border, and especially parents are angry about the assault on kids by the Ds- school lockdowns, possible forced vax and mask, crt / drag / trans chemicals and surgeries and sports and bathrooms - issues being pushed in some schools. All these are unfavorable with 70+% of ALL voters.

Last thing for this post - there still is a measured higher reluctance for Rs and indies to answer national polls (media companies) accurately for fear of being flagged or tagged as conservative. But insider polls (the campaigns and parties themselves) which are more accurate show a red wave coming.

It is natural for momentum to continue to swing races in one way or another in the last two weeks that polls don’t catch up to. I’d be surprised - it’d be a sort of aberration for any race that was even in polls now - to swing to Dems given the momentum and enthusiasm gap on the ground this next few days.
 
One other factor that is hard to measure in polls is the double standard or the hypocrisy for some leaders in how they are selective and punitive in what they tell others to do vs what they do themselves. Or the leaders indifference to important issues.

Whitmer not letting people drive to their rural cabins while she takes multiple trips. She sends Covid patients into nursing homes to infect/ kill others. Disallows people growing their own food or buying paint (science!)

kelly being awol - burying head in sand on border invasion and related influx of fentanyl and deaths caused.

Walz here in Minnesota sending many Covid infected people into nursing homes, killing many more
Walz and others letting an entire city precinct burn, allowing riots with no control for many days.

Walz closing schools, businesses, churches, don’t gather in homes even for holidays - no graduations, funerals etc EXCEPT it was fine to have 3 - 4 jam packed George Floyd funerals and many shoulder to shoulder mass protests.

All this BS just puts a chip in common sense people’s memory banks. Treated like sht, like worthless no-rights peasants by their betters, overlords. No rights or freedoms at all

I could list a couple dozen more examples like these around crime, Covid response, education, inflation energy.

That’s what drive’s the intensity disparity. There is nothing on the left to get a similar turnout for the left. Abortion? Jan 6? Orange man? Ha ha give me a break.

by end of Tuesday so many will have cash in their “enough of the bullshit. Leave us alone!” chips.

Well yea it works both way for sure. I don’t support abortion after 25 weeks. But I could say a party that supports overthrowing democratic elections without proof of any fraud is capable of anything too. We could do it all day. What my point was is that opposing trump doesn’t make you a liberal. Blind loyalty to anyone in either party is idiocy.

It's been sliding for a very long time. It's been sliding for over 30 years, I'd say. I think the end of the Fairness Doctrine in the 1980s really lit the fuse. Americans are just as dumb as any other civilized nation (however you define that). And, that helped keep opinions from becoming perceived as being facts.

And, with the advent of the internet and then the obsession with celebrity and the barrage of social media and the algorithms that all work to hasten the eventual falling-off-the-cliff, it's just unavoidable. The media makes a huge profit from knocking-out the foundations, too.

ETA: I forgot... politicians will do whatever it takes to keep their gravy train position- BOTH SIDES! They would never relinquish their free rides, even if it means the whole thing is eroded and essentially gone.

I think Maher mentioned how ancient Greece had it for a while and lost it. And, the USA lasted a little longer. It always had a shelf life/expiration date.

For starters, the presidential election isn't decided that way to begin with, and someone as prominent and as intelligent as Bill Maher should know better.

Secondly, he knows damn well that virtually none of the people voting conservative don't understand the concept of the most votes winning...it's how those votes come about that is being contested. Again he should and does know better but a lib has to lie to seem to be making a point, no matter who he is.

I think that statement can be made and, frankly, has been made about the previous two administrations: Orange started an insurrection; Obie used the intelligence apparatus of his own government to spy on that same candidate/successor. Isn't that both?
