OOTB's Political Thread . ..

I have caught you in lie after lie and then SHOWN THAT TO BE THE CASE. I generally substantiate what I claim..
To reiterate:
- Compulsive liars will press their point relentlessly, especially if they feel they are not convincing anyone other than themselves.

You have substantiated absolute DICK. Give it up, bluetard.

I have substantiated you lying even in this thread, fishlips. As I said, you point meaningless crap like the above at me, but you substantiate nothing that you accuse me of. You never have and you never will, because lying about it is the best that you can do.

Nice find above though. It fits you to a 'T'. Whenever I catch you in a lie, you'll try to squirm out of it with more lies. Relentlessly.

Waiting for you to 'press the point' again. Relentlessly. LMAO.

One other thing. I worked on a local state house and senate race here in MN. The guy lost - and the two items that persuadables commented to him about at doors and on calls were “Republican Abortion ban”. And “if you’re a Republican you’re a Trumper”. Way past time for him to go. If he runs in 2024 - that is about the only way I see Rs losing a national election. Anybody the Ds would run against RDS would likely get crushed. Credit Ds for getting their message out - regardless of whether true or not. It stuck with voters.
You picked some real winners this round. I'm looking forward to your 2024 picks.

cool ... we adopted 8 years ago ... my sister adopted earlier this year ... my cousin and her husband fostered / adopted an unwanted baby a few years back ... our family donates several thousand dollars each years to Pregnancy Support Services in the RDU area. so it's nice to know you now care about my opinion 😝

God ALWAYS has a plan for that life he created inside of the female. always.
Well done. I’m happy for you and the kid. Kudos for you and your fam making a difference

Bleed walks the walk in honoring "the sanctity of life" more than most I've ever seen. Opposed to executions and abortion. Willing to adopt? That's walking the walk.
mainly bc our immediate and extended family has firsthand experience in both areas, sadly. murder / prison time ... and consideration of abortion in a teenage pregnancy.

it's amazing what you'll consider when certain things actually happen to you or someone you love as opposed to theories or reality TV 😵

Funny you say that. I was having a conversation with someone this morning about how I wished I was still as "smart" as I thought I was when I was, say, 25. Wrong is still wrong (murder, rape, etc.), but as life has beat us all up, the world has gotten a whole lot more grey without distinct black and white answers. Like I said, things still are good and bad, but one sure does understand more clearly how someone finds themselves in a pickle.

Personal experience with most anything makes it much more vivid and personalizes it. My oldest cousin got pregnant at 15 (in the mid 70s). I wasn't aware until I was an adult. She put her baby up for adoption and they reconnected at a crucial time in her life. That story has much more "feel good" detail, but... it's anecdotal, and it's not meant to be a barometer for anyone else. There are situations where an abortion is absolutely necessary. We do what we can to navigate around what we feel is indignant behavior, as we see it.

Much respect. Though I don't necessarily hold the same view about God having a plan for everyone and everything, at the very least your position is genuine. Unlike others who only pay lip service to it, or use the debate over abortion to justify utter cruelty.

yep, we all have free will to make good or bad decisions.
Accidents aren't always due to decisions though. Condoms break, for example. Or young women accidentally misjudge character regarding baby-daddy.
but murder should never be one of them.
A quarter of pregnancies result in miscarriages. Is it murder to not use science to save every single conception from being a miscarriage?

If not, then why is it murder during the first few weeks to save the poor unplanned child and poor single mom from destitution and being a toll on societies social services?

This basically addresses how this is quite obviously a "medical condition."

I don't think we need the government or the church or the light & water co. or the local radio/TV station chiming-in as to what should be allowed in a medical procedure/experience.

In no way whatsoever is this statement correct. More of your babbling bullshit. It is quite obvious that you have no children and thank God you don't.

You're right. The next time one of your enlightened progeny gets pregnant, or impregnates another... they get no access to any medical care of any kind. Deal? You can do all the work. You could probably even pull-off the wet nurse duties.

Dr. Freud called, bluetard. Your appointment tomorrow is at 9am.

I love how the Dems always “find” enough votes. It’s laughable. Is is just coincidental that the late counted ones always seem to favor the Dems. Yeah, I’m sure there’s nothing sketch about it. I wouldn’t dare want to present as an election denier.

I love how uninformed you are. It's pathetic.

In the house races the first few days were great for the dems, while the last few days have been really bad for the dems and have favored the repubs.

13 House seats left to be decided (which in and of itself is nothing short of absurd being that we're 7 days past election day but that's another topic all together). It will be interesting to see the percentage of "late" ballots that go blue.

Still stunned a good portion of America is ok with this ridiculousness.

And American Idol can count 50,000,000 votes at a commercial break.

Well we could fix this by making every state do the same thing, like standardization across the country, maybe use Florida's model but STATES' RIGHTS! Right?

Or we could go back to the way it was done pre-2020 - you know, expect people to actually show up and vote in person or request an absentee ballot - and have the results in a timely manner. But I get it. That wouldn't allow for them to count the votes as they go and find enough to get the desired outcome.

re: accidents. you’re the one that brought up fetal alcohol syndrome … my point was that the mother made the DECISION to drink during pregnancy.

you're making gigantic assumptions. how do you know the mother will always be "poor" ? how do you know the child wont end up in a loving family who raises him/her to be an amazing person.

what @gunslingerdick said. Or....

Congress could establish reasonable parameters of acceptance, in regard to national positions, to adhere to and stay within in order to have votes count. That wouldn't be telling the States what to do, it would be informing them of what would be accepted and what wouldn't. I think they would have the right to do that, and it wouldn't be usurping States rights. as the States would still have the latitude to conduct their counts as they see fit.

But Congress isn't about to do such a thing if they can help it, is it?
