OOTB's Political Thread . ..

You see, this is where your limited ability to understand that these scenarios are not a dichotomy that poses a challenge. There are nuances and subtleties involved. One can be fully against Biden's stances and only mostly against Trump's. Both would be negatives and one would have "preferred" a better choice of candidates. But, it doesn't mean they have a preference or even support that person. It just means they are picking the less offensive. That's not a preference and surely doesn't constitute supporting someone.
I see what you’re saying but the bottom line is who did you vote for. I would never not support a person I voted fo.r. I may not like them but I support them over the other candidate.

It's because you cannot quote Trump telling people to do those things. Just admit it. I have no issue with people going to jail if they went in and tore shit up. Just like I'd like to see all those rioters go to jail for what they did that year. I'd also really like to know what the plants J6 were up to. It's documented that they were present. Just admit Trump didn't tell those people to do that, but I'm sure you don't have the "balls" to tell the truth.
Show me one quote where Hitler told his generals to kill 6 million Jews.

He didn't need to say it. He insinuated it the entire time. He'd been insinuating it from all the tweets claiming the election was illegitimate and stolen from him.

That's the crux of the issue here. Everything else doesn't matter. You can nitpick on what he said, or if the intrusion was peaceful or not, or whatever. But the fact is, they interrupted and tried to stop the legal transfer of power. And they did it because the man you constantly defend, told them that he was being robbed.

You either think he's right, or you think he's wrong.

Which one is it for you?
Some of both.

You do know your link proves my point?
Hitler never puts it in writing. You read that part, right?

And your comparison to Hitler, like other liberals, shows what a complete and utter moron you really are. You make me ashamed to be from the same state you are.

Explain then.
I believe some shady shit went on with all the changes to our election processes. A lot of which was not passed by state legislatures and that is clearly illegal. But after the legal challenges failed he should have been the bigger man and let it go. I very much liked Trump's policies and bravado with foreign countries and the media, his childishness, not so much. I also enjoyed watching liberal heads explode because he stopped Killery. So give me DeSantis in '24 and I get the best of both worlds.

You got plenty more than that to be ashamed.

Trust me, I know the feeling….

I think one thing we all need to do is stop lumping everyone together into one of two baskets. Just like all people who voted for trump (as opposed to their other choice), they shouldn't be characterized as trump supporters.
What better way to show your support for a candidate than with your vote? Even if you step into the voting booth with your eyes closed and make a selection, you're still supporting someone.

I love when you try to make sense of things.

your contention is of course born[e] of butthurt,
How long are you going to carry on about this, bluetard? I predict I've got at least one more full day of ridiculing you on this topic alone.

Just admit your blunder and be done with it.

Well, I'm glad we're clear on that now. Never occurred to me to ask you your thoughts until this conversation. Perhaps that's on me.

Obviously we're not going to agree on what was and wasn't legal regarding election laws. Nor whether or not those legal challenges were advisable or even ethical. But yes, he should have let it go. And he has no ability to keep his own ego in check. Just too dangerous to have that kind of psyche in the Oval Office.

You are wise to want DeSantis for 24. The Democrats may have fended off disaster this round. But the majority of their success did not stem from the appeal of their ideas, rather it was the fear and disgust of the other side. They are politically weak and losing more of their traditional bases.

If the GOP runs DeSantis (or Youngkin), you'll get that red wave in 24.

in my younger days I told some braggart guy bragging about his ride that he couldn't outrun the city cops in his Chevelle SS 396, so he actually went out and purposely did that....for a while, and then a Highway Patrolman nabbed him. He was charged with excess of a hundred in a 35 zone, failure to stop at stop signs, failure to stop at red lights, failure to yield right of way, failure to pull over for a blue light and siren, careless and reckless, and a few other things I can't remember.

The Highway Patrolman didn't charge him with DUI because he said he'd never convince a judge that a drunk man could do all that; but he was inebriated without a doubt.

I'm expecting the long arm of the law to knock at my door any time now, because evidently I'm responsible for what he did because I guess I insinuated that he should do all that crazy shit.

But Trump didn't even do that much, he just said why don't you drive over here and let me see your car. So now he's responsible for the end of democracy as we know it because you know, insinuation and shit..

Like I said, get a grip.

'how long are you going to carry on about this?' asked the retard, as he himself was carrying on about it.

"Born is the common past-tense form of the verb meaning "to give birth." It is often used in the passive voice:
a law born out of necessity
A lot of good ideas are born outside the workplace."

"Crucially, borne is used for those instances that refer to carrying something, especially figuratively (like an idea or burden)."

"However, it is also true that the spelling borne sees occasional use in the passive voice in the "to give birth to" sense:"

As usual, your insecurities have caused you to make an ass of yourself. The 'e' that you added to correct me is misplaced as no correction was needed. 'Born' is correct. 'Borne' more generally connotes something being carried.

Just thought you'd appreciate knowing. Stop trying so hard.

Respect for Marriage Act passes the filibuster. Excellent news.
I'm almost afraid to ask. WTF is the Respect for Marriage Act? Unless it's a decree that government has no business sticking its nose in the personal affairs of its citizens, like marriage for instance, it's just another example of legislation being churned out for no good reason.

This is what the Deep State and democrat party are all about; harming and destroying America's children.

Not really. Clarence Thomas signaled in the Hobbs case that he wanted to revisit decisions protecting same sex relationships, same sex marriage, and right to contraception.

This goes a long way in preventing that. The bill also ensures religious non profits are not required to engage in any activity that promotes same sex marriage. Which includes churches. So no one is being infringed upon.

That Jewish part was a little cringe.
Meh... I guess. When he said that people shouldn't blame black people (or Kyrie Irving, specifically) for anti-semitism... he's right. Comedy (effective/FUNNY comedy) is supposed to offend people sometimes, maybe even a lot of the time. It's certainly supposed to, at least bother, established views.

Jon Stewart even addressed that here:

I take it you didn't make it to you therapy session this morning, eh, blue?

"Like marriage for instance"? What else would it be about? It says marriage right there in its title, you old fart. Respect for Marriage Act.
evidently not much as far as your personal affairs are concerned, Ricky Retardo. LMAO, what an idiot.
