mark it down, the entire state of Minn will be gay in a decade. The population will plummet since pregnancy will only happen during experimental bisexuality.
Perfect!

And, all of the white people will be consumed with guilt and shame and donating all of their income to black people.

Brain damage? Now we know what @Heels Noir, @carolinablue34, @blazers, and @prlyles cook with.
The allegation is not that gas stoves themselves cause brain damage (mostly to the youth apparently), but that the gases produced from the things that are cooked on gas stoves are responsible. In other words, it's really an exhaust problem. Guess those above need to stop breathing exhaust vent fumes.

My main concern is how does this impact BBQ restaurants. If this forces more of them to cook with wood, then this is a great idea.

I just do not get the wild paranoia over mail in voting when there haven't even been any issues with it. Seems to me like it's a red herring more than anything else.

Well I'm glad we agree on the Election Day part.

As far public education, let me rephrase. The way it's funded should be changed. And I'm deeply suspicious of people who emphasize charter schools as a substitution (ala Betsy DeVos). I should mention I think too many places in our country don't place enough emphasis on education itself. Again, a topic for another day.

Look, technology has changed drastically since the 1860s, which goes without saying. I'm quite sure if the wife of a soldier could have the option of mail in voting the way we do now, she'd take it. I just do not get the wild paranoia over mail in voting when there haven't even been any issues with it. Seems to me like it's a red herring more than anything else.

We can't fall into the trap of politicizing everything to the point where rational thought goes out the window.
There is a good chunk where we have common ground in the above. It's the following comments that gives me pause:

And ironically, we had mail service starting in 1775 (remember Postmaster Benjamin Franklin?). Why did we ever have in person voting to start with when we could have just mailed it in? It seems like we are not modernizing in any respect but actually going backwards.

First, there is no need for mail in voting. I have made it clear that my position is that voting should take some modicum of effort. I just don't think it's asking too much to have someone show up in person, particularly with all the early voting days. And the problem with mail in voting is not absentee voting where someone asks for a ballot and properly returns it. The problem is when everyone gets a ballot mailed out to them. You have no assurance that the person even lives there, let alone received their ballot. As such, there is no assurance that any returned ballot was actually filled out and returned by the person who was casting their vote. It is potentially a minefield of problems that can be easily manipulated by shady characters. There is just too much money and power involved to think that this won't happen regardless of party or candidate. And, it's just not needed. Somehow, we got along with in person voting predominately all this time and the republic is still standing. Why fix what ain't broken unless there is some motivation you aren't considering?

Laughable.

I don’t give a f*ck. I don’t live in that shithole. They probably won’t make it to gay time anyway because all the women will abort them or if they get to breathe outside the womb, they’ll probably be killed by the violent BLM protestors. So have it.

And when I want your opinion, I’ll ask for it. I was asking @Heelicious as he lives there. Like usual, you didn’t have anything to offer except a “joke” that missed the mark. Which I knew and why I didn’t tag you.

No. To them, because daddy govt didn’t acknowledge it happening, it just didn’t happen. You need to stop attempting discussion with these leftist retards as they possess no thoughts. Only the script their masters provide to them.

Well I think saying there's no need for mail in voting is kind of a moot point. It's here to stay as an option whether we like it or not. And to insinuate or claim it's used for cheating stems from sour grapes (much of the time from Republicans) or an unfounded fear that it could be abused. We have a pretty air tight election system. It's not to say that mistakes aren't made or couldn't be made, but not to the point where it would swing an election.

It's a pretty easy question to answer why mail in voting wasn't a thing in 1775 lol. There was no advantage or practical reason to send in votes by horse buggy. I happen to think that this option is helpful to a lot of people who can't vote in person: the elderly, disabled, the sick, etc. And it's pretty convenient for those who are so busy they can't get to the polls on time.

If someone not named randman can offer anything beyond fear of possible abuse of this system, please do so. Otherwise, there's nothing to worry about.

Lol. Yeah, we’ll just take your word for it. I mean, there’s absolutely no reason to question your thought process.

Lol

This state of MN is done. Put a fork in it. Irredeemable. Like almost all other states with urban rural mixes, the urban / metro areas (Minneapolis / St. Paul) and their woke, anti-cop, crime infested, liberal, incompetent leadership, insane high taxes, high dependency on govt subsidies for many of the city dwellers - ruins it for the whole state including more responsible, independent, productive, low crime, freedom loving and police supporting people who live in suburbs, exurbs, and especially rural areas.

Any sane person we talk to, who is fed up with this state's horrible leadership, institutions policies, are looking to exit to a red state. And the mass exodus the last 2-4 years has been historically high - higher than ever before... and its not going to improve any time soon. Who in their right mind would come here to start a business or raise a family.

I'm already looking in houses in South Dakota. Beautiful area in Black Hills / Mount Rushmore area....where I can hopefully work remotely if needed last couple years of my career, or at least move there when I retire. Screw this state of MN. I can't wait til the day when my wife and I can claim residency in SD, and MN can stop stealing and squandering my money via insane taxes, too.

“But you see, this is clearly different.”

Lol

Oh, but he has no idea what papers were there. To be fair he probably doesn't anymore, hell he can't remember where he pissed last.

In honor of Joe and his safe keeping of classified docs, and because this page of this thread has turned into poasting music videos, I offer the following:

Hahahaha. In the garage? Seems secure.

I wonder why his lawyers are "finding" these papers. What could they ever be looking for? But I'm sure they have full security clearance. There's no way things are being "found" since a committee is about to begin investigating this clown.

don't try to make more of this than meets the eye. Lawyers just happened upon these docs while they were straightening out his garage a little.

I’m irked by two songs being poasted in this thread over the last few days but the originals weren’t poasted. Instead the poasters chose covers.

@strummingram went with the Black Crows version of Rainy Day Women and @bluetoe went with an odd collab of Seal and Jeff Beck for Manic Depression.

I find it disrespectful to the two legends that wrote those songs.

obviously, I was paying homage to Jeff Beck, killing two birds with one stone. If that's wrong, sue me. And when you think about it, how could anything convey respect for the original artist moreso than covering or playing a cover of his tunes.

ETA; But here, if it makes you feel better....
