OOTB's Political Thread . ..

The campaign with Joe was a stockcar with a blown engine. All that's happened is the engine got replaced and the car is racing again. She's in the race and the fans have a reason to show up at the track again versus knowing that the car is never leaving the garage. But that doesn't mean she's Dale, Jeff, Cale, The King or anyone else.
😄
Weren't you giving me grief a few days ago for making an analogy between the Trump losers and the losers involved with Kentucky basketball? At least I didn't go with NASCAR for my comparison. I'm surprised you didn't throw in Dick Trickle for good measure.

He starts to say COUCHES here, but then instead of saying normal things like puppies or my kids or pounding beers, he decides to refrain from saying what makes him smile or happy. I take back what i said about him seeming less weird than Desantis.
Looks like he cut back on the eye-liner though, that's a plus.

Well...he immediately smiled, and laughed, at the question and the person asking it. He didn't have to say anything. He did follow it up with a statement of confirmation "Bogus questions from the media."He smiled and laughed FIRST, then told him.

The press can be vapid just like everyone else.

I think it's real because his campaign has addressed it as opposed to denied it as AI or something. But it doesn't matter. The content of it is that Trump highly praises the NG and the job they did after Walz called them out as Trump asked him to do. Once that finally happened, he was very happy with Walz and his actions because he finally realized he had to do something and called out the entire NG over which he had authority. Trump blames the mayor for allowing it to get that bad to begin with. However, none of that changes the blame that should/could be laid at Walz' feet for watching that happen and trying to justify it on EI grounds. Imagine the difference to all those people had this happened one day sooner, two days, three days. I mean, is Walz gonna say I was bad, but the mayor was worse, just ask the former president? The bottom line is you wonder how much vetting was actually done here. I'm thrilled she picked him versus Shapiro or even Kelly.
trump said “it happened immediately” so…

I'm still confident he'll have enough votes to fend off the inevitable cheat the Dems are working on.
Please elaborate on this, the cheating part. Do you have sources to back up your claim? Or is this another case of poopslinging that you're so well known for?

Trump is currently holding his latest grievance fest at Mar-a-Lago. Geez, he bitches more than a woman who is both menstruating and infected with a venereal disease.

Do I have to start every reply to you with "Idiot"?

It wasn't the involvement of Kentucky basketball in an analogy dumb ass, it was the elements of your analogy not being aligned correctly. I even went on to point out in my post how to correct your analogy using that tourney.

As to your suggestion of using Dick Trickle, I listed all-time greats who were known for their winning of races (which is the actual goal), not an all-time great name. However, I'll grant you immunity on this one because I understand why you'd associate his name with your candidate.

To be more specific, I was comparing the recent overconfidence of you Trumpies to a 38-1 basketball program that got ahead of itself and printed up thousands of shirts that read "40-0."

Appropriate analogy.

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. I just know they didn't even make it to the finals to lose to Duke in the end. So, a poor analogy.

You should have said the Patriots and Tom Brady when they trademarked "19-0" and "Perfect Season" if your goal was targeting Trump. He is in the finals. Of course, that can change in an instant, as he almost found out. As did Joe, lol.

Well, I'll take your word from it since you only read headlines.
Gullible gunslinger strikes again.

Do you even know what's in announcement from Youngkin that got you excited enough to post about? He's simply codifying things that have been in place for eons. VA officially went 100% paper when Dem Terry M was the gov several terms ago. The rest of his release just restates policies and procedures that have been in place sincd before he got there.

You are so gullible you fell for the headline like it was some serious push for "election security". Fox clickbait and your dumbass takes the hook every time.

Paper is the most secure option. Machines do tabulation immediately after you mark the paper...

(edit regarding misreading - the days of the hanging chad reading probs are gone)

One downside is mostly cost of replacing old-style mechanisms with paper-based.
The correct answer is use Electronic Ballots with a paper backup.

First of all, ballot images are merely digital renderings of every paper ballot tabulated in an election. The key word there is tabulated. I don't know the story behind these so-called missing printouts of paper ballots or if there is some nefarious crime among officials who were unable to readily locate them. Whatever the case may be, that in no way indicates that votes were not counted and that cheating was widespread in Georgia.

Second, and to my point, what evidence are you talking about when you suggest it is inevitable that the left is currently cheating on this upcoming election?

as always, Americans are going to vote based on one single thing: the economy. everything else is window dressing, always has been.

All Trumper supporters should be concerned that he has made no effort to expand his base since 2020 when he got his ass handed to him in the election.
unless you can conjure up another Covid to wreck the economy and send everyone into their basements in the next 90 days, you're going to be surprised how big his "base" actually is.

But it's not stupidity, it's what he and his wife believe should be.

They got married on the anniversary of Tiananmen Square. And literally went on their "honeymoon" to China. With students. Paid for by the Chinese. It's been reported he's been there 30 times on trips. He started a travel company just to run these student trips over there. He speaks Chinese. He invited Chinese dignitaries to his inauguration as governor. He's described them as the nicest people anywhere and the trips being the best thing he'll ever experience. Yes, he is talking about the CCP. That's combined with all the problems associated with his reserve service commitment and the misrepresentations about where he actually served.

That's who Kacula picked to be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office. Think about that. She's had one decision to make. One that was hers. And she picked him.
the Chinese have had their foot in the door of the WH beginning with the Clintons, with one notable four year period of time being an exception. This sounds like giving them a wing.

It's relatively the same size as the Kamala, or perhaps more accurately, the anti-Trump base. It will be left up to the swing voters. If you consider the trending poll numbers, Trump is turning away those voters every time he puts his foot in his mouth (which is every time he opens it).

Here's an interesting statistic regarding voters in America:
Since 2016 when Donald Trump won the election, 20.2 million baby boomers have died while 40 million Gen Xers and Gen Zers have been added to the voter rolls. I would argue that perhaps Trump's base is diminishing all the time while the opposition is growing.

wait...the Pope has a satellite?
I can't remember the exact theory, but I think it was an old Italian spy satellite that was bought by the Vatican. I think conspiracy theories are pretty funny when they are creative and that one is definitely creative. It was discussed in this thread a long time ago. I don't care enough to look for it, though. Just make sure you don't see any satellites while you're voting.

Imagine chastising someone for excitement regarding election security. Yikes.

“In 2016, 51% of young men identified with or leaned toward the Democratic party. By last year, it was down to 39%. Young men now favor Republican control of Congress and their support for Trump has grown since 2020.

The Democratic strategist James Carville (he who told Bill Clinton “it’s the economy, stupid”) has been warning Democrats that the party’s eroding numbers among young men and young people of color are “horrifying”: “We’re not shedding them; they’re leaving in droves.””

The best part of this article is that the homo from the Guardian that wrote it might have worked himself into such a frenzy that he offed himself.

Imagine being so ignorant, gullible and illiterate that get you excited about a politicians announcement-for-who on election security despite nothing actually changing.

I'll admit that the couch thing is a great example of social media going viral even if it was 1000% made up. And funny, or at least the running commentary afterwards was. And I've always understood the disdain for Trump. But, other than guilt by association and hatred for all things R, I just don't understand the reaction to Vance. What's weird about him and why the attempts to paint him as somehow fringe? If it's just cause he was picked as Trump's running mate, fair enough. But if he was just a Senator from Ohio, what would it be?

Fulton County and Hunter's Laptop are kryptonite to the maga.

The 17k ballot image thing doesn't mean paper ballots are gone. Recounts were done three times, and Biden one them all.

The 3k duplicates thing is troubling, i'll give gunslinger that, even though they aren't sure if those were even tallied. Biden won by 12k, so it doesn't impact the actual election winning by a dem proving Georgia is purple, not red.
