Holy cow, bobby three sticks recommends no jail time for Flynn. Billy boy you ok? Boy he hammered him. What say you @BillyL ? Nailed him to the wall didn't he?

Flynn gave up plenty to Mueller it appears to me . . so has Cohen. I think we still have quite a ways to go before this is all done and completed. Remember that Gen. Flynn claimed that "he had a story to tell". He told it to Bobby 3-Sticks and it must be a big one.

You wanted proof of collusion? Flynn has provided evidence.

The redactions in Michael Flynn’s sentencing memo belong in a museum

Three investigations referenced in the Flynn memo are completely redacted; one is not. In the unredacted investigation, Flynn is credited for knowing about “coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump campaign.”

Which raises an obvious question: What are the investigations that Mueller won’t name, and how could they be more sensitive than colluding with the Kremlin?

1/ Whether it was Mueller's goal or not, by including all of the redacted details of Flynn's cooperation in a court filing, Mueller has now ensured that they will one day become public. There is nothing that Whitaker or Trump can do to stop it.

2/ A sentencing memo is a "judicial document," which is a legal term of art for a court filing for which there is a public right of access and a First Amendment press right of access. The court can keep the details sealed while investigations are ongoing but will unseal once done

3/ And now that it's in the judiciary's files, it is outside of Trump's and Whitaker's control.

Just get him out of office before he damages the country any more...

Bobby 3-Sticks is working on just that . . . Thank God, that we have a republican(R.Mueller) that is willing to do such for our already great country.

Makes you wonder how valuable he must have been to the investigation. Obviously his cooperation was quite informative... Definitely not a good sign for the dotard

Interesting seating at G.W.H. Bush's memorial service today . .

Apparently, he (Gen. Flynn) has been invaluable to Mueller's investigation, having been a firsthand witness to meetings and having knowledge of any interaction that Kushner and the Russians may have had. You don't get a recommendation of a light/no jail time suggestion unless you've been a substantial asset to the SC.
This is from a 3 star General that has never been accused of lying and was a firsthand witness in meetings before & after 45's innauguration . . OMFG.

See the Flying Flynny thread I posted a year ago . .

Collusion is not a crime. Good luck with all that impeachment stuff, and gfy.

The reaction to this was awesome. The same people who want the President to not be concerned with religion were up in arms that he didn't recite the Apostle's Creed at the service. The guy can't win with those people, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Or maybe people are just calling him out for being a hypocrite and pretending to be religious to appeal to the rubes on the right.

Doesn't everyone already know this?

Just a little ridiculous that he gets called out for catering to religious types, and then called out for not catering to religious types. Almost like there's some sort of agenda against him or something...

Does he really pretend to be religious though? He's never come across as a religious guy to me. He does all the standard stuff other politicians do, but I've never seen him as someone who was really that religious.

No. People are still out there writing books about trump being a literal godsend.

We're not calling him out for not catering to religious types. We're pointing out the fact that this is a clear piece of evidence that he was lying on the campaign trail when he claimed to be religious.

You'll have to ask his supporters that. He felt the need to pretend to be religious when he was campaigning. The overwhelming majority of his supporters are religious, so yeah I don't think he would've done as well if he said he was an atheist. I can't even count the number of times I've heard someone say something along the lines of "god sent us trump to save America." Those people are fukkin morons.

People thought that about Obama too. Collectivists gonna collective.

No politician would do well if they said they were atheist. Religion is one of the few things both sides still believe in. I just never saw Trump being as religious as other presidents.

This doesn't make sense. He can be a "godsend" without being religious at all.

So, is it safe to say that Trump is the first Atheist POTUS?

I'd bet thousands that 45 was the only person in the Church that had his arms folded, he folds up those arms of his when he's uncomfortable . .

The Bush family was smart to invite him, doing so made it that he had to show up, anything other than that and he would look sillier than he did, it also, kept his fat lazy ass off the golf course.

He didn't recite the Apostle's Creed because the simpleton can't read . . and he dayum sure doesn't know the words to the pledge of allegiance or God Bless America, you don't have to be religious to know the words for those two.

Apostle's Creed, a religious refrain with no place in a secular world. And the Pledge and GBA? Just a couple nationalistic poems born out of tribalism.

Seems like shunning those would be everything his detractors could hope for, amirite?

So, is it safe to say that Trump is the first Atheist POTUS?

There's also books all about him being religious and how he's devoutly doing god's bidding. There's clearly a large section of the population that have no problem believing he is religious.

I would bet that Obama was an also an atheist, and possibly Clinton too. People have had to pretend to be religious for a long time to win elections. Jefferson was a deist that criticized christianity as strongly as anyone.

If, you don't know the words, then just hum along . . however, pretending you do, when you don't, makes him look like the phony and fraud that he is.

Are knowing the National Anthem and God Bless America pretty important to you?

Are you indicating they should re-institute teaching/reciting them in schools so that we don't have any future Presidents that don't know the words?

I don't think it's about people caring if anyone knows the words or the rituals, least of all his dumb ass. It's more about how Trump continues to reveal that he's really just about the veneer... the presentation, and yet, he can't even get that part right when it's formal.

Yeah but giving the worst possible interpretation of the other side’s argument is more fun. And it’s the OOTB way.

There are other things more important to me. I know the words and I need not pretend . . I should think that if, you're a self-proclaimed 'nationalist' and POTUS it might look a little better . .

jmhho

I don't remember him claiming to be really religious but I do remember him promising to stand up for religious liberty.
I remember him making a big deal out of saying Merry Christmas. He claimed Obama didn't say Merry Christmas, which was of course a big lie.

I appeal those demerits. Him making a big deal about say Merry Christmas does speak to the question of whether he is religious or not.
Absolutely not. I know of quite a few people who are not religious but say Merry Christmas. Appeal Denied! Now you are just reaching. In fact, I don't think the Obamas are religious but they said it.
