OOTB's Political Thread . ..

But how many? I need a number. As the Mayor of OOTB, this information is crucial for me to seek warrants for the perpetrators.

I don’t have a number for you. I already made it clear that I didn’t have some kind of list or something. Good grief you’re obsessed. Maybe those mayoral duties are getting to you...

Someone was responsible for BillyL and uncboy10 getting banned over and over.

Billy was a long-time member and, even though he's been rather amped-up with the Trump situation, it's no different than when Nuke'Em was loading the board daily with Hillary/Obama threads. Those were tolerated and allowed, so, I don't know why Billy's were grounds for dismissal... assuming that is what happened.

This is one of the problems of having a "moderator." We don't need a moderator and no one should ever be "banned." It's ridiculous.

I'm guessing there was some things going on behind the scenes and he's not the martyr some are trying to make him out to be.

I never even remotely implied a martyr status. I just know they were banned from the board a number of times. They may have asked for it, or broke the rules, or whatever, I don't know. You said "behind the scenes." I think that's a pretty fair assessment.

I find it funny that @uncboy10 liked this comment while being a poster who can't handle a discussion. He's the kind of guy who wants to be protected by mods, but doesn't want to have to answer to mods. Of course, his "family problems" explain his reluctance to engage people mentally. I feel bad for the guy, and it makes me happy for the self-confidence that I have.

Good grief you are a delusional clown. I voted for no moderation.

You just aren't engaging. You're boring and repetitive.

Why don’t you keep your damn mouth shut. This has nothing to do with you. It’s none of your business.

I'm going to offer this and then I'm going back to painting walls and freezing at the beach; the decision to ban the angry man was made above my pay grade. Sometimes drawing attention to yourself isn't in your best interest.

I asked in the other thread, which beach?

Now back to politics. Looks like BDD gets to nominate another SCOTUS justice. Libs are going to start a civil war over this, I would guess.

As he should. He’s POTUS. Obama should have gotten Garland. The Senate’s job is merely to confirm if the appointee is qualified. For all I care, Trump could have 5 picks. Elections have consequences.

With that said, I do like some balance, with a slight conservative majority.

If Obama had not been such a dick, he would have gotten Garland. Instead he spent the first 7 years being a condescending asshole to pubs in Congress and then tried to call in a favor in year 8.

Your first part may or may not be right. We won’t know. Cocaine Mitch was determined to undermine him from the start. Obama certainly never tried to bridge the divide, which to me, was probably his biggest failure.

However, any sitting President should get to nominate their SCOTUS pick. Even in a lame duck year. Now Dems will follow suit and the shit show will roll on. Trump should nominate Garland to put them in a pickle. Do they obstruct? Garland is a fine choice as well. He and Kavanaugh are pretty aligned IIRC.

Not only did he not try to bride the divide, he barricaded his side of the gorge and shouted insults with a megaphone across the canyon.

Fuk Garland. I much more enjoy him as a martyr for the left.

I’m against any nominee that has a blatant history of either conservatism or liberalism. That tells me they judge with an agenda. The constitution leans neither right or left and the people charged with interpreting it shouldnt either. But its all about promoting partisan agenda (abortion) so i’m sure we’ll get another pasty ass baptist preacher look a like with a mousy stay at home mom and two sweater vest wearing boys who thinks the earth is 6000 yrs old and masturbation is a sin.

Is that mutual masterbation or self?

I kind of want him to pick someone who confuses everyone. Amy Barrett was mentioned last year. I'm curious what the line of attack on her would be since no one will be able to use the "old white guy trying to get rid of abortion" attack. Apparently she is religious, but how hard could they come at her about that? She can always just pull the "you wouldn't do this to a man" card. It would be extremely entertaining I think.

Topsail had a lot of damage I understand, hope it's not real bad..
It wasn't good but not nearly as bad as it has been in the past. We're almost finished with the deck. Roofers finished last week. They've completed the beach reclamation so that's a real improvement. Repainting downstairs and putting in hardwood. It all should be done by next month.

Same reason why I wanna see the 2020 race be Joe Biden vs. Nikki Haley.

Dems would get named All-Pro Cornerbacks after showing how fast they could back pedal on all of their usual tactics.

This. When you start talking about "righty" or "lefty" judges, you've already lost, IMO.

Been reading through this monstrosity and want to add that the fastest pitcher I ever faced that I know of was Mickey Britt who played at South View in Hope Mills and made it to AAA in the Padres organization, IIRC. Dude hit 99/100 miles an hour and the damn ball looked like a BB. He was wild enough to never make the show and that alone would keep you far enough off the plate that anything outside was impossible to hit. He no-hit me for his career, lol. Heck, I looked like John Kruck...swinging and falling back at the same time.

The absolute BEST pitcher I ever got a hit off of was Calvin Koonce who was coaching South View at the time and later coached at Campbell. He pitched for the Mets in the '69 World Series. Dude had a curve that literally looked like it fell off a table, but I guessed right one time and doubled that nasty witch off the wall in a scrimmage at a camp at Brewton-Parker College when I was 17. Yea, I still crow about it.

Best pitcher I ever faced was Doug Million. He was from one of the top baseball high schools in the country, Sarasota High. He also made it to AA pitching for Colorado, but his career was cut short because he died in a car crash. I went 1-2 off of him, but that one hit was a flair to RF. It wasn't like I hit the ball on the screws.

U.S. Soldiers die in an attack by ISIS.

Hours later...

Pence: the caliphate has crumbled and ISIS has been defeated.

If you're the families of those fallen US soldiers this is the ultimate slap in the face.

It's no different than the families of loved ones here that have died at the hands of illegals but the Dims say we don't have a problem.

And at least the soldiers know that they are in harm's way.
