OOTB's Political Thread . ..

Multiple posters on this board went out of their way to try to get Billy and myself banned. Gunslingerdouche was for sure one of them. I can think of at least one poster who cancelled a premium account in protest of us being reinstated, and he made the threat as an attempt to lobby to keep us banned.

You'll have to try harder if you want me to "stfu."
Multiple, eh? Tell us who else. @gunslingerdick, a/k/a @Terror Beard has already denied the accusation. He and I have our share of differences, but I've never known him to be a liar. You, on the other hand, claimed you can throw a baseball 90 mph.

I topped out at 92-93 my senior year of high school. That wasn't a lie. Coach Holbrook recruited me before he moved to USuCk. It was his radar gun

Where did you play in high school? Why did you not play college or get drafted?

I played at Dutch Fork. I played at Wofford for a year.

It's a long story, but I had some pretty serious family issues that got me off track. I was originally recruited by Clemson and UNC before all of that shit went down.

this seems rather catty

I thought the New Deal originated in the House. Was it implemented through dictatorial fiat or something?

No man, that was very Roosevelt. It was his aide or something that even came up with the name of it and it's pretty famously mentioned in FDR's nomination speech "a new deal for the American people". His Sec of Labor was heavily involved also.

Obviously Congress had to pass New Deal legislature for it to happen but it was FDR's baby.

Now we have little Napoleon stalking me on social media. That's some creepy shit that should definitely get you banned...

Listen, we don't have the history that you and others have. But I find it highly dubious that you were touching lower 90's off the bump in HS. My brother was recruited by Chad and just happened to be an All-American pitcher at UNC. I could ask him about this.

Perhaps you have some proof? Shirley a HS pitcher in throwing in the 90's would have some sort of scouting report.

Spending any amount of time to try to get someone banned from an internet message board is one of the more advanced forms of loser.

I have no reason to lie about it on an "anonymous" board. If I was going to BS I would've picked a more impressive number like 95.

I'm not sure about proof. I graduated in 2010 so its been awhile. Maybe terror beard can dig you up something while he stalks me on social media.

Eh, I'm with ticket on this one. Any player in the past 15 years that had D1 interest would have something online about them and they'd probably be able to find it right away.

I was ranked on all of the major baseball recruiting sites back in the day. But you have to pay for a subscription on diamondprospects.com to access the archives. And that wouldn't prove how hard I threw anyways.

While he's doing that, why don't you tell us more about the "multiple" other people who tried to get you banned.

Why are you so obsessed with this? I'm aware of the fact that multiple people brigaded to report me and Billy to mods in an attempt to get us banned. If you want to choose to believe that didn't happen, then go right ahead.

92-93 is pretty dang impressive. Maybe you are telling the truth, but there aren't many guys who can do something like that who don't have a litany of awards, accolades, offers, and write-ups.

In my job, I have to create budgets. I do my best based off the information I have to make stretch goals. If I don't make the number I've set in the budget, am I a liar? Or did I have simply have higher aspirations than were attainable? And should I never set stretch goals just because I don't want to come off as a liar if those goals are not met?

It was a campaign promise number which was missed by $5bil.

You think this is remotely similar to what Trump said??

Trump TODAY on Mexico paying for a wall: "I never said this and I never meant they're going to write out a check."

Trump campaign website, AUGUST 2016: "It's an easy decision for Mexico: make a one-time payment of $5-10 billion..."

Because I can't stand liars. You've made this claim repeatedly but can't back it up. If it's a "fact," then you should be able to tell us who it was and how you know who it was. And if you can't do that, you should shut up about it because you sound like a whiny little prick.

Does that help?

I’m not claiming that was a consistent thing. I was normally between 85-88. I hit 93 for one pitch, and sat at 90-92 for a two inning appearance during a showcase tourney at USuCk right after they opened the new stadium. Got to make the jog in from the outfield bullpen and my adrenaline was jacked up to 11. Just one of those crazy days that are very rare.

As far as awards and write ups, I was all region for three years and all tournament teams on multiple occasions. Nothing super crazy though. There are some write ups from local news available online that mentioned me.

I've coached baseball for years, I also caught in college and I can tell you that most people's 90 mph is more like 84-85 mph.

First of all, terror beard openly posted about reporting one of my posts and trying to get me banned the last time he did it. So him denying that is laughable.

Louigi left the board over our reinstatement.

Several more of the right wing posters went along reporting our posts and complaining about us in an attempt to get us banned. It’s not that hard to guess who they likely were. That’s the explanation I’ve been given straight from the moderators so maybe you should take your accusations about lying to someone else...

This seems to clear the air more. Chances are the gun malfunctioned more than you jumped from mid 80's to low 90's. I suppose if any gun ever clocked me that hard, I would sing it from the rooftop.

FWIW, mid 80's is plenty impressive.

Very true. I got clocked by a bunch of scouts that day, I only know what they told me and the coaches. I’m pretty sure most of them used the latest JUGS guns.

This has gotten weird.

Agreed. Guns can be way off.

Funny story that I just remembered but a few years ago, Garrett was at some fair and some teen was throwing low 90's at the pitching booth. From what was observed, the kid was not coming close to 90. Anyway, someone got Garrett to try thinking he would show out. He didn't warm up, but a cold Garrett at 70% could hit 80+ any day of the week.

His first throw clocked a cool 56 mph. 2nd and 3rd were low 60's. Clearly this was a rigged booth.

Anything is possible. A bad day where my arm felt dead was usually 84-86. Decent day would be 85-88, and a good day could be 87-90. Good days are rare, and the 90-93 was literally a one off. I still remember the ball coming out of my hand that day. I know for a fact I never threw that hard again.

My biggest issue was control. I was certainly no Greg Maddox.

Hardest pitcher i ever faced was steve streater. He threw in hi 80’s. Struck out three times. Old farts like me may remember him as one of the best punters in the nation on one of the best unc fb teams ever with amos lawrence and LT. On his way to sign with the redskins flipped his car and wound up paralyzed. Following year kelvin bryant broke off a long td run and presented the ball to streater sitting in a wheel chair in the end zone.
