This is actually probably pretty accurate. Had this been Cuomo saying this stuff with his people at one of his daily news conferences at the time, he would have been applauded for his asking the doctors and scientists to explore all possibilities and leaving no stone unturned.

Well... that's just it. "Chemicals" is a little too inclusive. That's why 45 sounded like an idiot when he suggested that "I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute," Trump said. "And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."

But, some people thought it was a good idea:

you have no idea what you're talking about. You're just trying to sound like you do...and it ain't working. The time frame has changed in this article but common sense doesn't change. 24 rounds in 15 seconds, if that is actually believable (because no one was standing there with a stopwatch), is achievable with a handgun and a handgun would do as much if not more damage. EASILY. Jesus, you just linked an article that says the hero pumped eight rounds into the perp and you know that happened in a few seconds. You think he couldn't have spread that and more around as well or better than AR-15 man? You can take aim on multiple targets more readily with a handgun than you can a rifle in a somewhat contained space. A shotgun would be more difficult to get off that many rounds in the same # of seconds, but you could easily get off 7 without reloading, and loaded with buckshot do more damage than his 24 rounds did. Shotguns are very much more effective on moving targets.

I see no reason at all to change my tune on this. But thanks for trying.

EVERY single day people with various diseases are treated by having chemicals injected into their body.

I have not timed it but I'm sure I could get off 30 rounds in 15 seconds with my hand gun.

He suggested it at the podium, during a press conference, on national TV. It was a gaffe... and a pretty big one. But, when your identity is chained to the man, I can see how it is necessary to try and make it sound like what he said was another coin in his wisdom well.

when I want sound medical advice, I always tune in the musings and questionings of the President of the United States because he has authority over microbes and all other shit like that and also because he just knows stuff. Presidents just know lots of stuff. I laugh when people seek medical advice from trained physicians.

At some point, I'm hoping I can get Biden to help me build my own backyard nuclear power plant.

It goes without saying people that do a mass shooting are screwed up in the head. I think they believe they are "cool" using an AR-15 instead of a hand gun. To me a hand gun is a better choice.

Easily? You're an idiot. It depends on the handgun. Bullet velocity from that Sig Sauer model M400 5.56 is much higher than a typical 9mm handgun for example. And Sig has a higher capacity.

And "taking aim" is different from being accurate. A rifle wins over handgun if you're looking for accuracy. Again, nice try.

Typical shotguns are gonna have way more kick than an AR. If you want to inflict lots of damage on a crowd the smart choice is something easy to wield & aim, low-kick, high-capacity, high velocity, easy to load. Being easy to conceal helps, making an AR-15 style the obvious choice and the reason why you see it over and over.

Why does it matter? For arguments sake, let’s agree he meant exactly whatever you want to believe he meant. So what? What point is anyone trying to make with that video and the claim that he said inject yourself with disinfectant?

Thank you. This hand-wringing over Trump talking about disinfectant is bizarre. Like, who the f*ck cares? Who even watched that? Why would you have watched it? And then to still be on it 18 months later reeks of a desperate attempt to avoid talking about the current train wreck.

Well I'm sure you know but to point out to those that dont see the connection.. what Trump said is not close to drinking Clorox which was my argument with someone on another comment section.

i do know this, if trump doesn’t run, it will be easier for me to choose.
