Inflation - EU - 8.6% record high. UK (with Boris Johnson) record high 9.4%. Sure Japan and South Korea have low inflation, but no US president was going to avoid inflation. Trump was part of the early stimulus, but the global supply issues and pandemic issues, and Fed policy are huge kickers. Regarding stimulus, look at the jobs numbers, unemployment numbers are a trade-off for inflation in a way, and having a job with high inflation is much better than being unemployed with low inflation.

Books in libraries - put whatever books in libraries. But why celebrate them? Why promote the sketchy material? To get the exact reaction from the right they wanted. It’s not good enough to have the books in libraries, you must shout from the rooftops that suspect books are in the libraries and everyone should be ok with it.
Teachers on race and sex: doesn’t belong. Teach the core studies and leave race and sex to parents. If kids don’t have parents, let them approach their teachers outside of normal learning hours to get whatever education on those topics they desire. No one should want a teacher teaching anything other than core curriculum. Again, Dems know this and make a big deal of it for the sole reason to incite the right.

I went in the store and when I came out, the host was talking about two Trump aides who trashed him because of his response to the Capitol thing, and they went on to point out that he did nothing to try to stop them, except he did but then that was later, etc. Oh, and Trump more or less called for the death of Mike Pence, they said.

b) Stimulus = jobs. It also = inflationary pressure, but people having jobs is a bigger factor improving the economy than inflation is dragging it down. We also don't know if stimulus really would've been that detrimental without the pandemic effects that have hurt the GLOBE

Don’t you love that phrase? Can’t call it what it really is, redistribution of wealth. Dems often conflate “equality of outcome” with “equality of opportunity”. The latter should be, and I believe is, supported by all Americans. But we should not be trying to legislate “equality of outcome”, that isn’t the purview of Congress, much as many on the Left wish it to be. Give everyone an equal chance, then let them succeed or fail on their own merits. America doesn’t guarantee you happiness, just the ”opportunity” to pursue it.
